The first gosling to hatch got a little trampled 💀 so we’ve brought the next two in. It’s a little hard to see but here’s today’s baby snuggled up between two of the guineas I hatched a few weeks ago 💕 they are surprisingly welcoming to the little fluff balls.

Everyone is talking about tick season being so bad and my guineas are like we got you sis.

I got a little surprise when I went to feed the chickens tonight. I slapped the lid back on the barrel and went and got Mitts, which was a fail. So I upgraded to Trip and I couldn’t get a video, he was too fast. He was reluctant to get in the barrel, but once he was in there, he was like this is my mouse, goodbye.

This isn’t even half of them 🙈

Five new mouse traps in the laundry hamper this morning

Mitts lives a double life. Here he gets cans of kitten food and washes his face on the deck reminiscing about his hay pile that has been eaten by the hooved critters. At the neighbor’s house he is Fluffy Cat and that’s all we really know.

For 💕Valentine’s Day 💘we picked up a million rocks out of the field. Or this many. It was a lot. 😅

Today was going to be a lazy Saturday. Then I went out to feed Bandit and thing one was standing there all wet shivering while thing two was on its way into the world. This was not on my radar at all. Mama is wild and had no interest in being relocated to the barn where I kidnapped her babies to but it was 20 degrees and I wasn’t about to just leave them out there with thoughts and prayers. I got them dried off and then we went and not so gently encouraged mama to accompany us to be reunited with her babies. And all is well they are doing baby lamb things and mama is having a snack.

That would be Princess Leia, one of our OG free chickens from NYE 2023, congratulating herself on laying the only egg we got in the month of November.
