Lesch Farms is looking for farm help for the upcoming spring, summer and fall - 25+ hours per week. This position could be full time for the right candidate.

Ideal candidate would have farm equipment operating experience. They also need to have willingness to work both field crop operations as well as vineyard operations. Also included will be general maintenance on equipment and trucks. Class A CDL preferred but willing to sponsor training for the right person.

Competitive pay based on experience.

The majority of the corn we grow is fed to animals, cows, pigs, and even dogs and cats. We haul a lot of corn to a Nestle Purina dog food plant and there it is mixed with other ingredients into dog food. Toby the farm dog sometimes prefers to go straight to the source and sneak some corn out of the sample bucket while we are unloading the corn.

Harvest is in full swing, grapes getting picked, corn and soybeans are being combined as well. Thankful for the nice fall weather and hoping for more.

Call in the dogs put out the fires 🏁 Harvest wrapped up last week and now it’s time to clean all the equipment and start on shop work. Big thanks to everyone who helped get this crop out and kept us running smoothly. Looking forward to 2025!

Pretty cool article about the new grain bin safety equipment in Chautauqua County. Hopefully it never gets used.

An upstate New York county now joins several others across 32 states, equipped to respond to grain bin rescues on area farms.

Soybean harvest carries on. These Plenish soybeans will get fed to local dairy cattle for milk production because of their high oleic oil content. We will be back to corn harvest again later this fall.
