After a long walk in the city, Foreigner tucked between the chaos of 5th Avenue and boring 6th, is a small refuge in the middle of it all. I had spotted their beautiful gradient cups online and wanted to see them for myself.
The tiny, minimalist space, almost brutalist in feel, was packed with a mix of locals and tourists. No gradient cups this time, unfortunately, but instead a sharp black and yellow design that feels efficient enough, almost like a graphic nod to the iconic taxi colors. The barista was efficient and fast, yet still managed to top the drink with beautifully mastered latte art. Just a couple of minutes later, despite the long and busy line, we were already back outside with our coffees in hand.
Probably unrelated, but as I continued my walk my stomach suddenly staged an unexpected protest, sending me on a rather urgent detour. I couldn’t help, unfairly perhaps, associating the episode with the coffee. Not exactly the souvenir you hope to take away from a café visit. Sorry TMI. 😅 7/10
