Midshow Reception for “Forged Imagination” ✔️

Thanks to all who came out last Saturday! We got to hear the artist’s backstory and listen to musical covers by Beth Mead

Forged Imagination is a solo exhibition by mixed media artist Nilanjan Bhowmik Nilanjan Bhowmik Studio
The last day to view the exhibition during Sunday open hours is October 25th and official final day of the exhibition is October 30th. Come on out before it closes! ⚙️

ART SHOW OPPORTUNITY!

Artist registrations are open for Longview Farm's 3rd Annual Holiday Exhibit! Every holiday season, we set up the gallery to feel and look like an art market, featuring the work of up to 30 local artists and makers for 2 months. We accept a range of art and goods, including 2D wall art, jewelry, textile/fiber arts, pottery, wood, artisan goods (soaps, candles, balms), etc. You drop off your art and we do the rest!

The ground is ready, and now we plant. 🌼

Back in June, our Pollinteers rolled out plastic to clear a patch of ground at The Longview Farm. On Saturday, November 7, we’re turning it into a pollinator habitat, and we’d love for you to join us.

We’ll scatter native wildflower seed across the field. Winter’s freeze-and-thaw cycles will do the rest, working the seed into the soil so it’s ready to bloom for bees, butterflies, and birds next spring.

Bring the whole family! It’s simple, hands-on work that kids love, and it’s a great way for them to see where flowers come from. No experience needed. C***r and donuts are provided. 🍩

What to bring: closed-toe shoes that can get muddy, warm layers, work gloves if you have them (we’ll have extras), and a water bottle.

A drizzly morning at our historic Chester Springs barn, and the duckies are thriving. 🦆

They love the rain. They love the mud. They love patrolling the driveway from the mulch pile like tiny, feathered toll collectors. One prefers a smaller crowd and will fly the coop (literally) if things get busy — the other three have never met a puddle they didn’t want to investigate.
First eggs this week. Very proud of them

Longview Farm sits on protected land in Chester Springs, PA — a historic barn, pollinator meadows, and genuinely good light for art shows, intimate events, and gatherings where the background music is rain on a tin roof and the occasional quack.

Midshow Reception for the current exhibition "Forged Imagination" is happening TOMORROW Oct 3rd from 5-8pm. The artist, Nilanjan Bhowmik, will do an artist talk/Q&A and there will be live folk music during the evening. The reception offers a chance to meet the artist and learn about his creative process and each unique piece.

A few things to know:
~ Potluck-style gathering; feel free to bring a dish or snack to share
~ BYOB welcome
~ In the barn gallery, rain or shine
~ The artist talk will start shortly after 5pm, so keep that in mind when planning arrival time!

The Midshow Reception is THIS WEEKEND on October 3rd. The reception offers a chance to meet the artist and learn about his creative process and each unique piece. Guests will also enjoy live folk music during the evening.

FORGED IMAGINATION is now open!
Thank you to those who stopped by for the opening reception during your holiday weekend. We’re not over-exaggerating when we say that this show is VERY cool - you don’t want to miss it. ⚙️

Nilanjan Bhowmik Nilanjan Bhowmik Studio is an imaginative person who is “like a kid in a candy shop” when it comes to antiques, and creates visual stories from those items.

The Midshow Reception is happening on Sat, October 3rd! There will be an artist talk and live acoustic music. Mark your calendars!!
