Spring has sprung here at the homestead!

The corrals are finished!

We attended a farm barter a couple of weekends ago and traded two of our Kunekune boars for some Nigerian Dwarf goats! Its been fun getting to know these hilarious animals and are hopeful that one of our nanny's will kid this fall!

There have been 5 calves born so far this spring with about 4 more cows to calf and a few more in the fall! 2025's calf letter is R so we have Ryan, Rasta, Remi, Raven, and Ricki! Such a beautiful array of colors this year.

All hands on deck when it comes to building the new corrals! Maezy helping Dad tamp in the black locust posts that Blaze bartered from the Macrae's up the road. Thank you to uncle Bret for bringing your tractor up to dig post holes! Our Runey pup supervising as per usual!

We've had a couple days of morning snow, turned rain to sunshine. A beautiful spring at Woolly Roots!
