The Chicago Cubs aren't the only ones who closed out a strong summer season ⚾️

From flying the W in Alaska to getting back in time to catch a game at Wrigley Field, we love spending our summers across Alaska and Chicago rooting for our favorite team.

From cheering on Alex Bregman's playoff return after the foul ball hit to celebrating Taylor McGregor's bittersweet move as she moves to her new role at ESPN, it's been one whirlwind of a season.

Congrats to the Cubbies and MVPete on an incredible 2026 regular season 👏

If you’ve been following us for a bit, you know Karen. She’s not just one of our market team members, she’s our co-founder and Captain Mat’s wife 💙

Since the beginning, Karen has been helping with everything from packing orders, fishing, spending summers in Alaska, working winter markets, and subbing at our summer markets throughout the years.

She loves when she gets to work the farmers markets not just because it means catching up with our regular customers who come back week after week, but she loves getting the chance to meet new visitors and talk to them about the benefits of wild salmon and give them their first chance to sample our stuff.

Beyond the markets, for Karen nothing beats fishing up in Alaska with the family. It’s such a special and beautiful place, and she feels so luck to be able to what we do and share it with everyone back home.

It’s always extra special when she gets a visit from family in Alaska or during days at the market (swipe through to see some recent visitors) 👀
