🥧My Magpie… I love her 😍
Idk what she does but she’s wider than the boar😂
Farmer James rotates the animals as needed, often that means everyday! They’re chowing down on invasive species, tilling up the land, feeding it nutrition all at the same time. 🌱
With our manual work & the animal’s natural activities, we’ve reduced our tree canopy, revived sick trees, added missing nutrients back to the soil, fluffed compact land, reduced stagnant water & increased drainage.
I once read a post about the soil within cash-crop farm land I.E. 200 acres of land that’s turned from corn to soy & over again year after year. Sprayed with chemicals to help a problem that’s only a problem to begin with because of the growing cycle that’s followed.
The soil becomes DENSE, compact, with no ability to absorb & drain. It’s like trying to read a book without opening the cover. How can it provide nutrition back to the humans or the cattle if it can’t hold it itself?
I have a photo of this water/soil comparison I’ll have to share in a separate post to understand the whole picture….
What we can’t see may not seem like a problem… we often ignore this and forget. The wonderful thing about my husband & our love for this Earth 🌎 we’ve studied the land, its nuances, downfalls & the strengths that need to be utilized. We’ve uncovered the dirty secrets it holds and we’re washing those away ❤️
I really wish we could share everything we do in fancy YT videos & Reels but we can’t dedicate that time to screens when we have babies to raise. 📚
For now ➡️ Enjoy a photo of my Magpie in her natural habitat, eating something one may think a pig never would 😂 GRASS
