Hi I’m Jocelyn Delk Adams, the founder of Grandbaby Cakes I’m the Queen of Pound Cakes, a TV Host, Cookbook Author and Blogger inspired by my Big Mama making 💣 soul food! At an early age, I loved visiting Mississippi to watch my grandmother, who my family affectionately calls "big mama", bake cakes that literally had her neighbors lined up around the block. Big mama not only created the most incredibly moist and delish melt in your mouth desserts, but she also infused them with so much love.

One week ago, I nearly died and didn’t know if I would have another birthday but today I turn 45. 🥹

I was in the back of an ambulance after experiencing severe anaphylactic shock, drifting in and out of consciousness with my blood pressure dropping as low as 70/40, getting 3 doses of epinephrine, while my family watched one of the scariest moments of our lives unfold. It shook me in many ways I’m still processing. So today feels different.

Today isn’t about getting older for me. It’s about being grateful to still be here. God had the last say.

45 (or as my bestie said Forty Live), I’m walking into you with a renewed appreciation for every single moment. I’m turning up all year!
