Hey Gumbo Shop family!

We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that we’ve had to cancel two upcoming events due to logistical issues that we simply weren’t able to overcome.

That includes our planned **1st Birthday celebration**, and we won’t lie, that one hurts our hearts a bit. This first year has meant so much to us, and we were really looking forward to celebrating that milestone with y'all in a big way.

Mais, even with the disappointment, we’re choosing to focus on the good. This past year has been full of growth, lessons, incredible support, and more love from this community than we could have ever expected. The fact that we even get to say “our first birthday” is something we don’t take lightly, no.

To everyone who has shown up for us, bought a bowl, shared a post, brought a friend, told someone about us, or just cheered us on — thank you. Truly. Y’all have carried us farther than you know, and we feel that deep.

We’re disappointed, but we’re not discouraged. We’re taking what we’ve learned, making the adjustments we need to make, and looking ahead with a full heart and plenty of gratitude for what comes next.

We still plan to celebrate this milestone in our own Gumbo Shop way, and when the time is right, we’ll let y’all know what we’ve got cooking.

Thank y'all for understanding, for supporting us, and for being part of our first year.
