Good morning farm friends!
If you want any cardboard for your sheet mulching projects there's a nice pile at Roy's pumpkin patch at SE29th and Westminster rd. These are wonderful for projects because they can cover approximately 4' x 16' and are super thick! Pick them up ASAP because rain is moving in!!!!!
He has tons more than are in this photo, stop by today!!!!

Hey farm friends! We have some amazing news about our little farm to share with you! We have been approached by a local filmmaker who would like to do a documentary about sustainable farming and its impact on local communities. He will be filming us throughout the next year and documenting what we do here on the farm, and we are SUPER excited to be part of this great project!

We have always felt that the main purpose of this farm was to give people a place to have engaging conversations about sustainable practices and how they affect the nutritional density and flavor of produce when grown with these techniques. This film will give us a chance to tell everyone about these practices and hopefully we can encourage others to source their produce from local farms in their own communities.

We are so grateful for this opportunity, and we want to extend an offer to anyone who may want to lend a voice to this project to please let us know! We will be planning an “interview” day at the farm where you can offer your comments on the topics of sustainability, clean food and how small local farms can affect a community. You will have to sign a release, and we have no way to pay you for your time, but if you are passionate about spreading the word about what we do here on the farm, please reach out.

We truly believe we can change lives with something like this documentary, and we intend to do everything possible to make sure this project is successful, but we can’t do it without YOU. This is your opportunity to be a vital part of this movement, have your voice heard and maybe have a little bit of fun.
So, farm friends, as my favorite poet Eminem says in his song ‘Lose Yourself’…. “if you had one shot or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment, would you capture it, or just let it slip…”
As a community we cannot let this moment slip….

Good morning farm friends! We have a bit of produce this morning but we have decided that we need to change our hours to appointments only. We have some nice collards and kale but everything else has just given up for the season 😞 and we want to utilize this cooler weather to get a jump on all the big plans next spring!
As y'all know, we work on the farm daily and if the gate is open we're here so roll on in👍👍👍 we will happily harvest anything you want and answer any questions you may have.
It's always a tough decision but since it's only Lucinda and me we really have to focus on realistic expectations and look towards spring crops.
There's still plenty of great farmers markets in the area so stop by and help support our local producers!!!

We are open for limited hours for now as we start getting our farm ready for spring. We have tunnels to build, compost to spread and seeds to get started! Those projects will allow us to deliver even more great produce and plants to our community ❤️👍❤️👍
We're conveniently located near SE 29th and Choctaw rd at 2440 Orchard Rd.
We're open until 1pm today so drop by, say hi and check out all the excitement at the farm!
