🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Honor Harvest Farms! 🇺🇸

I think sometimes Labor Day becomes another long weekend and we forget why we celebrate it in the first place.

The first Labor Day was celebrated in 1882, and in 1894 it became a federal holiday…a day set aside to recognize the hardworking men and women who helped build this country and continue to keep it going.

As a small family farm, hard work is something we understand and appreciate. There are long days, dirty hands, early mornings and plenty of times when the work still has to get done whether you feel like it or not. 🌱

And we know we’re certainly not alone in that.

So today is for the people who get up, show up and do the work, whatever that work may look like.

Take a minute today to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You’ve earned it. ❤️🤍💙

4S Livestock and Meat Market. is a local cattle farm right here in Thorsby, and they also have their own meat market where you can purchase farm-raised beef, pork and chicken.

Right now they’ve got some HUGE 10–18 lb briskets ready for football season 🏈🔥AND their ribeyes are already getting low!

They offer individual cuts as well as quarter, half and whole options, so whether you need dinner for tonight or want to fill the freezer, they’re worth a visit.

We love supporting other Alabama farms, and Calfee Cattle is one worth knowing!

They raise Black Angus beef and also offer pork and chicken…from individual cuts to bulk orders. You can shop directly from their farm throughout the week, too.

🥩 Want to fill your freezer? They have bulk beef appointments available now. Let them know this weekend for pickup toward the end of September.

Today, the world lost a true Southern treasure. 🤍

Dolly Parton was so much more than her music. She was kindness, generosity, laughter, faith, and a beautiful reminder to never forget where you came from.

She dreamed big, loved people well, gave generously, and brought joy to generations.

Thank you for the music, the laughter, and the incredible legacy you leave behind.

Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright, and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 80 years old.

Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).

A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.
