We are home and settled in from the 1 and only South Dakota State Fair! Part of me doesn’t even know where to start on all of the success we had so we will hit the highlights first!

Wednesday—we had Champion Babydoll Ram with Elmdale Farm 0317 Nitro and Champion babydoll ewe with Elmdale Farm 0311 Nova and we received Premier Exhibitor!

Thursday—we accomplished one of the greatest honors we could ask for SUPREME Champion wool breeds Ram with Elmdale Farms 0317 Nitro our new stud ram later on that evening it didn’t stop there in the wool classic Ellie had Champion babydoll ewe again with Nova and Lane won his first showmanship of the year

Friday—the morning Started out with Lane receiving 3rd overall in Beginner Showmanship but the day didn’t end there Alex Received Champion Hampshire ewe with FSF 2610 a January Ewe Lamb

Saturday—started with the open Southdown show where Lane showed his Southdown FP Livestock 2601 or “Ope” as we call her to a second place finish in a Loaded January ewe lamb class that evening in the Jr Hampshire show Iggy showed FSF 2528 our fall ram to Champion Ram and Lane won another Showmanship

Sunday—we showed 2528 to a first place finish in the fall Ram Class in the open Hamp Show and Iggy showed his January ewe Lamb to a 3rd place finish in class that evening the Jr Southdown show Maddy was pulled as top 5 in a huge Peewee showmanship class and Lane showed Ope to a 5th place finish in another loaded class witch (as far as we know until points are updated) put him in a tie for first place in the National Futurity points
