So I’ve decided to follow it. 🖤

Soon, I’ll be introducing a brand-new project I’ve been quietly working on behind the scenes. It’s something that gives me a little extra creative freedom, a way to explore another side of what I love without changing anything you already enjoy from 5 O’Clock Sweets.

Don’t worry — the sweets, the flavors, the seasonal magic… that’s all staying exactly the same. This is just me opening another door, letting myself play, dream, and create in a whole new way.

As I reflect on everything this year has brought, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude—not just for the growth of this little business, but for the incredible people who have been beside me every step of the way. 💜

To my friends, family, and loyal sweet-lovers: thank you for cheering me on, sharing my posts, tasting new recipes, and helping turn late-night baking into a dream come true. You’ve helped build 5 O’Clock Sweets into something I never imagined, and I’ll never stop being thankful.

A very special thank you to my best friend, who has not only put up with every one of my baking personalities (and there are a few 😅), but also stayed up with me for events, lent a hand when I needed it, and been the kind of friend every small biz owner dreams of having. You are a real one—and I couldn’t do this without you.

And to my amazing husband—my rock, my sounding board, my brainstorm buddy, and the heart behind this business name—you’ve supported every idea, every pivot, every bake sale and burnout. You’ve believed in this dream just as much as I have, and that means the world to me.

✨ Hey sweet friends — it’s been a minute. ✨

I wanted to pop in and say thank you for your patience and love these past few weeks. Since Samhain, life has been a little quiet on my page — and honestly, I needed that pause. Losing my dad this year has been incredibly hard, and I’ve been moving through the days with a little extra tenderness in my heart.

But with that said… I’m ready to step back into the kitchen and end this year strong. 🍂❄️
And I have something exciting coming your way.

I’ve been crafting a brand-new Fall & Winter Menu filled with cozy flavors, festive treats, and some fun surprises I can’t wait to share with you. Think warm spices, decadent sweets, alcohol-infused favorites, and a few brand new creations I’ve been dreaming up during my quiet time.

✨ Blessed Samhain ✨
As the veil between worlds grows thin, tonight we honor Samhain—the ancient Celtic festival that marks the end of the harvest and the turning of the year.
Traditionally celebrated from October 31st to November 1st, Samhain is a time to reflect, give thanks, and remember those who have walked before us.

Candles are lit to guide the spirits home, places are set at the table for loved ones who’ve passed, and fires burn through the night to welcome the dark half of the year. It’s a time for warmth, remembrance, and renewal.

This year, my thoughts turn especially to my dad. Though we held different beliefs, he always welcomed and respected mine with an open heart. As I celebrate this Samhain, he’s at the forefront of my mind. I hope he’s found peace in the afterlife—and that he’s reunited with his own dad, sharing stories once more.

Whether you celebrate Samhain, Halloween, or simply take a moment to pause tonight—may your heart be warm, your spirits lifted, and your loved ones close. 🕯️

🌸✨ Vacation Announcement + Exciting News! ✨🌸

I’ll be taking a little time off and will be closed September 17 – October 1 for vacation. Thank you all for your patience and continued support — I know I’ve been a little quiet lately, but trust me, it’s because I’ve been working behind the scenes! 💕

When I reopen, it’ll be full steam ahead for Artsville Fest on October 4th — my third and final year as a vendor there! I’m so excited to be bringing back my wonderful cookie sandwiches for the event. 🍪💫

PLUS… a brand-new menu will be rolling out after reopening, so stay tuned for sneak peeks! 👀
