We are hitting the ground running on our workdays this week! As farmers and producers, shifting from season to season means our hands are always dirty and there's always something new to explore.
We are getting our soursop trees successfully transplanted into their new spots this week. We’ve also just added a powerful new medicinal elderberry tree to the property!🌻
We went on a fun scavenger hunt over at another local farmer's property, Mr. Maxwell's, to harvest sunflower heads! These are being prepped specifically for our upcoming hands-on Community Gardening Day demonstration.
In the processing building, we are crafting a brand-new herbal tea blend with a mix of cranberry hibiscus, rosemary, and Mexican tarragon. This combination brings together incredible natural benefits: cranberry hibiscus is packed with vitamin C and antioxidants to support heart health, rosemary is well known for boosting memory and supporting digestion, and Mexican tarragon acts as a powerful digestive aid and soothing tonic.
We’ve also got the freeze dryer running and we're diving deep into learning everything we can about handling our new loofah plant—which was kindly given to us by one of our wonderful Farmers Market customers!
It takes a lot of research, trial, and hard work to transition smoothly, but seeing it all come together makes every single hour worth it.Stay tuned for more updates, and get ready—our opening fall season is just around the corner on October 12th! 🍂
