This is Tulsi- a beneficial herb, a religious plant for Hindu folks, and a fine pollinator plant in the butterfly garden. It is also known as "Holy Basil". We have quite a few loaded up for this weekend's sales. The annuals on the flower wagon are in good supply. The herb rack is full. Sweet peppers are on sale. There are 6 kinds of hot peppers.

We will be closed during July for vacation and Sandy's cataract surgery (returning Aug 1). You might want to stock up this month!

This cute flower is Torenia. It is one of our flowers that can handle part shade- full afternoon sun is too harsh. Plants grow to 12", attract butterflies, drop seeds, and add quite a bit of color to your annual garden. Expect Torenia to bloom beautifully all through the hot weather, only declining when cool nights arrive in the Fall.
There are plenty of other annual flowers available if you have sunnier conditions- salvia, marigolds, zinnias. And milkweed, too. (to feed those monarch cats)
The herb rack is full... peppers are in good supply... and we have a nice selection of perennials.

This week we show off our vinca. This variety is "Pacifica". It is heat-tolerant, drought-tolerant and pollinator-friendly. Plants grow to 12". Vinca joins marigolds, zinnias and impatiens on our annual wagon this weekend. Plenty of color for your summer garden!

Memorial Day weekend, beyond the patriotic significance, is considered to be the start of "Real Summer" in Central Florida. If you are in town this weekend, and plan to spend some time in your garden, stop by and shop with us. Milkweed is in good supply.. herb rack is full... sweet peppers are on sale...

At last!… a Friday post about perennials. These are galliardia. The yellow ones are “Arizona Apricot” and the orange ones are “Arizona Sun”.(this color reminiscent of the original native blanket flower) They are ready to welcome pollinators to the yard… thrive in full Sun… and come back next year to do it again. We have quite a few loaded up for this weekend’s sales along with plenty of other pollinator-friendly annuals and milkweed. Herbs are in good supply,,especially basil. Lots of peppers- both hot and sweet. Fresh crop of cherry tomatoes plants.
