Proud Larrys may be known for great music and drinks, but don’t skip their dining menu! My go to is always the spinach salad with grilled chicken! The fried wheel of goat cheese is 😋! We also had mozzarella cheese sticks and the spaghetti and meatballs at our table! Nobody was disappointed and nobody left hungry!

Stopped by Kroger in Oxford, MS this weekend to grab some of Elizabeth Heiskell’s chicken salad and pimento cheese! We were so impressed! Grab some yourself this week!

We stayed a quick 2 night stay at the Aloft Hotels at Katy Mills in Katy, TX while there to visit friends. Overall, it was a great stay. The hotel staff were so nice, the property was clean and well maintained, and the proximity to the Katy Mills mall and AMC theater was great for us. This was my first experience at an Aloft hotel, and while I understand the sleek concept, the lack of bathroom privacy is mind boggling. Literally no door on the bath area. Like, you had to get out of the shower with no door for privacy. I would definitely recommend this property if you are in that area, but keep in mind the bathroom situation.

Side note, I thought there was an A/C issue the first night, but it turns out the controls are on the unit, not the wall thermostat.

Literally nothing better than sharing a tub of buttered popcorn in a theater with reclining seats! We saw the new Minions vs Monsters tonight at AMC Theatres! As AMC Stubs Insider members, our tickets were half off for a Wednesday movie! Great deal and great movie! Take the kids! It’s only an hour and a half, so perfect for young ones!

We spent a quick weekend in Cincinnati for the 4th and stayed at the Renaissance downtown. We had a spacious queen suite with 2 queen beds in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the living area. It also had a wet bar area with a sink and fridge. The bathroom had a large shower with the best smelling soaps and hair products by Kevin Murphy! The highlight of this 15th floor room was the view! 5 huge windows with views of the river and the Bengals stadium! As Marriott rewards members we had access to the concierge suite in the lobby that served breakfast, snacks, coffee, bottled water and sodas. Having never stayed here, we were just hoping for the best. We were pleasantly surprised and would stay again! Keep in mind that parking is valet only.

Fort Thomas, KY takes its 4th of July seriously! After the parade, we grabbed lunch at the Midway Cafe! The burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches hit the spot! Great staff too!

Still full but still happy about our dinner at The Precinct! Our waiter, Matt, was fantastic and made the entire experience perfect! Salads, steaks, potatoes and macaroni and cheese! And that sourdough with truffle butter 😘! We also grabbed dessert to go! All around a beautiful restaurant, wonderful service and delicious food!
