Home made sourdough grilled cheese and tomato soup anyone?

I’m typically a grilled cheese purist. I want it made with cheap white bread and American cheese, nothing else, and not too much cheese either! This, however, I made an exception for. It didn’t scratch the grilled cheese itch, but it was still pretty damn good for being made with a rustic onion and garlic sourdough lol

I MUST BE STOPPED. 4 loaves, and 2 dozen sourdough discard English muffins today… my oven is going to get a workout baking all 4 of these loaves tomorrow considering I only have 1 Dutch oven and I’m not confident in my open bakes enough to risk these ones 😂

My understanding has always been that cinnamon raisin sour dough is a difficult one to get a good loaf out of… I’m questioning this common knowledge now after my first ever cinn raisin loaf came out LITERALLY PERFECT! LOOK AT IT! No butter or anything needed. I SMASHED a plain piece the second I could cut it open. F U SOURDOUGH, I AM YOUR GOD NOW, BOW TO ME 😈

Back on my sourdough bu****it, and on a 2 for 2 GOOD loaf streak, courtesy of my sister-in-law who graciously gifted me some of her fancy starter she bought since I killed Breadward long ago. 😂 I did, however, have some discard from Breadward that was still in good shape in my fridge, so I dumped off the h***h, and mixed small amounts of him in with the new one over the course of a few feeds, and it’s still doing great, so I’m considering Breadward revived, and the name will live on! Lmfao

Ahhh yes, the tour de cookies I promised! Grand total? Roughly 60 dozen! 11am-12:30am between baking, cleaning up, and packing cookies up! THIRTEEN AND A HALF HOURS!! My back HAAAATES me today, but the show must go on, for my 10hr shift at my big girl job 😅 (and yes, I was in fact using the railing of my porch as a “fridge shelf” periodically cuz it was cold and I was out of room 😂)

Today was cookie day! Peep the H&B apron my brother and sister in law got me for Xmas to match my shoulder pal! Remy definitely helped keep things under control. No overstimulated meltdown today like there was last time I tried to bust all my Xmas cookies out in one day, and I’m fully crediting Remy for that! Now just to make it through the cleanup 😂 check back tomorrow for the tour de cookies!
