Located in the heart of JOHNSTON COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, The Wool Family Farm is a first-generation family farm owned and operated by Evelyn and Robert Wool.

Visit our ON-FARM MARKET & SOAP SHOP to purchase our pasture-raised meats, handcrafted goat milk soap, educational children’s books written and illustrated by EVELYN WOOL and farm-themed gifts. Because we are constantly on the go, market hours are by appointment. FARM TOURS are available for individuals or small groups. We also host specialty events including goat yoga, birthday parties, corporate events, and soap-making workshops.

We are at Ronnie’s Berry Farm in Angier today for their first Community Farmers Market! We have children’s books (Stories from The Wool Family Farm by Evelyn Wool), handcrafted Goat Milk Soap (made with our own Nubian goat milk and Mangalitsa lard), Art on the Farm ( collection of hand sketched notecards by Evelyn Wool), and our farm fresh beef and Mangalitsa pork. It’s a gorgeous day out here. There are 45 vendors-something for everyone!

Check out these videos from our Sound Healing & Goat Therapy session last week The Wool Family Farm where participants connected with the environment in a unique way. Certified sound healer and professional musician/composer Nancy Pitkin created sounds and vibrations using various bells, tuning forks, and wooden chimes to create a sound bath that was uniques for each person. Participants reported seeing colors, scenes, animals, and words throughout the session and being very relaxed afterward. Our goats enoyed the experience, too!

Building a family farm from the ground up

In 2014, we moved from the hustle and bustle of the Northeast to the calm and steady countryside of the Carolinas to try our hand at farming. Since then, we’ve learned how to build sturdy fences and shelters; raise chickens, cows, donkeys, pigs, and sheep; milk dairy goats; and make goat milk soap. We grow our own veggies and practice conservation as best we can, like collecting rainwater for our animals, feeding kitchen scraps to the chickens, and rotating pastures. Every day on the farm is a new adventure - c’mon along for the fun!
