Yes we are still picking fresh blackberries, NO we don’t have large quantities available. We are getting roughly 2 quarts a day. As you can see, this heat wave is causing everything to stop at the bloom stage and green berry stage. Nothing wants to fully ripen. Unfortunately when they do ripen, quite a few of them have literally boiled on the vine. I’ve even found several green berries that have “sun spots” where the little bit of juice in them has boiled and ruined them. I will be starting a list, HOWEVER, this is with the understanding that YOU MAY NOT GET BERRIES this fall. If I have enough fresh ones, I will start going down the list. They are $10 a quart, NO EXCEPTIONS. We don’t have the quantities to be able to offer gallon discounts currently. We are doing what we can, and hope you have some patience and understanding as we try to get good quality, ripe berries. Thank you!

Do you ever stop and look and simply can’t find the words to describe the amazing world we live in? These are all blackberry plants! Such an amazing and vibrant world we live in.

Another new variety arrived today! So excited to see how this one goes. This is a fall blackberry.

It’s time to start the mulch again. We put down an average of 20 pick-up truck beds. It’s a yearly thing.

We are getting closer to ripe berries again! We’ve been getting some but the next set is finally starting to ripen. I was able to get over a gallon yesterday. We’ve been down to just 2 quarts a day so this is quite an improvement. These are the larger berries so they require a lot more water to finish ripening.

Cheesecakes are getting set. We will have a limited supply of fresh berries though. However, we will have fresh made pound cake slices this Sunday Farmers on First! Hope to see you all there.

Berries are finally starting to ripen again. These are the bigger variety so they take a little bit longer. They require a lot of water! There’s still quite a bit of green and red out here, supply is still limited but they’re starting to ripen finally!!
