Huge thank you to Lil'Bit of Heaven Homestead for breeding and sharing these 3 girls with us. We decided we wanted to add mini-Nubians to our herd and did a lot of research and contacted them to be placed on their waiting list. Spring came, fingers crossed for Doelings and we were blessed with 3 offerings. All 3 have been wonderful additions to the herd and we are very grateful for them. Today was their 2nd show and they did not disappoint. We love their breed characteristics and perfect size and can not wait to see them in milk when the time is right.
Congrats to Lil’bit of heaven homestead Tornado Beth being named the Grand Champion mini-Nubian. And a huge thank you to our Chester County 4H for recognizing this wonderful breed.

I will admit I spent the day trying to figure out how we could breed 2 of our does so I can still have some kids to love on this year 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
I knew seeing all the kidding pics starting was going to make it hard to stick to my “we are going to skip kidding in 2023” but farm show may have made it impossible to hit pause for a year 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I am leaning heavily towards breeding Jennay and Daisy to Better Wayz Rocket Man
Who we purchased this Past spring and moved along to a fellow local Nigerian breeder. It would add some very beautiful bloodlines to our herd including the incomparable Old Mountain Farm Elton Jay 😍

Farm show 2023!
I met so many wonderful people at farm show that want to add the wonderful Nigerian goat to their families. I promise to do a better job keeping our farm page up to date.
While we aren’t planning on kidding this spring due to our farm purchase in VA, I am friends with 2 local farms (both of which own one of our previously owned bucks) and I believe both are kidding this spring and will have kids available for purchase.

Our 4th and final pairing occurred this am.
Lulu x Beer Money

We are very excited to see what this yearling doe produces for us. She will be our only first freshener next year so that’s always exciting!
Lulu has lived with us since she was 4 months old and is the sweetest goat so we are hoping her kids are just like her.
Lots of superior genetics in these combined pedigrees 🥰

Our 3rd pairing occurred yesterday and we couldn’t be more excited than we are! We are hopeful that our new doe Talullah will not only provide us with some spectacular kids in the spring, but she will also help introduce us to the world of milking stars. She comes from a long line of milk stars (Her dam is a 9*M) and we are hoping she earns hers to make her a (10*). She had triplets as a first freshener so our fingers are crossed!
