Good morning. Hope you are enduring this heat wave. Just an FYI we will be closed Friday afternoon so we can be present at the Linz of Viera market day event. It will be held in their beautiful A/C clubhouse. You are welcome to stop by there and see what some of the vendors have to sell. https://www.linzofviera.com/

We will be there with pies and zucchini bread. Pies will be pecan, and cherry, apple and blueberry. We will have a couple 8" pies but at this event the smaller 5" and the bite size 2” will be there.

Our partner business will also be there. April's Sweets will be bringing her velvety smooth homemade fudge in several flavors as well as guava and cheese puff pastries.

Stop by our booths and say hello to our awesome baker, Grandapa Kelley, and April a talented sweets designer.

Otherwise we will be open in Port St John on Saturday from 8am-6pm. Due to the heat we are working out of the house (6565 Grissom Parkway, 32927) so just ring the doorbell and be welcomed into an air conditioned space.

What a hot one today! It was over 100 when I went out to get more baking materials.
Tomorrow 8am we will open back up. Because of the heat we are working out of the house for a bit. Just ring the doorbell and be welcomed into the A/C.
I baked yesterday & today.
The picture below is about a third of what was baked.
We now have available 8" Cherry, Apple, Blueberry pies also original recipe pecan pies and one warm butter bourbon.

A few 5" pies: Cherry and Original recipe pecan

Unbaked & in the freezer we can pop in the oven:
8" Bourbon Peach and one Regular Peach.
They bake up in about an hour.

Also fresh baked zucchini bread is coming out of the oven in a little bit. Cafe Mocha, Original recipe and Buttercrunch (crushed butterfinger candy mixed in).

We also have 10+ each our 3" mini-pies. Apple, Cherry and Blueberry. $2.00 each or 6 for $10. Just the 'right size' for a quick snack or better yet share with someone who could use a smile and a sweet.

We bake to order and can often turn an order around in 12-24 hrs if we have no prior commitments. We love to bake!

Baking day! Cherry pies to start off with. Filling an order for 12 five inch cherry pies individually boxed, with a tag for a personal note attached. This particular customer, a return client, is having a get together and each guest is getting their own cherry pie to take home. What a great idea!

Our 5" and even smaller 3" pies make the best personal gifts for family and/or friends. My wife delivered some little 3" cherry pies the other day, individually wrapped and frozen, to an older individual. Now they can just take one out, warm it up and enjoy. Not too much. Just enough to bring a smile to their face.

Lesson learned this week: Don't wrap a pie in plastic wrap and refrigerate for more than 2 days. The moisture from the pie, especially a fruit pie, will cause the crust to go soft. Best way to resolve is to put it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes (depending on the oven) and the top should crisp back up.

It is best to have a pre-order so we hand your pie to you straight from the oven. Or another alternative for us it is to make a pie, freeze it unbaked and then pop it in the oven an hour before pickup. Amazing is as amazing does.

We want that pie to be super fresh and have you wanting more.
