Ranch One Eleven Equine Medical Boarding

Ranch One Eleven Equine Medical Boarding Ranch OneEleven is a mom and daughter owned and operated equine ranch located in beautiful Georgia.

We run a small foundation Quarter Horse breeding program where we strive for exceptional foals boasting incredible bloodlines, excellent temperments, and performance prospects. Our small broodband is the heart of our program and each mare has been specifically chosen to compliment our blue roan stallion, Harts Slim Nickel. Our mares, foals, and stallion lineage influencers include: Blue Valentine

, Joe Hancock, Pig Creek Roan, Dividend Coup, Wyo Blue Bonnet, Two Eyed Jack, and many more. Aside from our breeding program, we offer medical boarding to equine patients from the UGA veterinary hospital and local referring veterinarians. Extensive experience treating and managing ophtho related equine patients. Treatment plans will be tailored to the patient's medical team. Rechecks can be performed on site or your horse can be trailered to UGA for its recheck. We use quality hay, alfalfa pellets, and a grain mix which is made locally. A limited number of groundwork training spots are available, private lessons offered to those who would like to increase their confidence being around horses, and equine evaluations available prior to purchase.

The twins are officially TWO weeks old today!!

Here is the update on them today:

Onyx is trying to do too much too quick and started knuckling over again, so he was put back into a splint. Think of his splint as a little "speed governor" for him.

Opal, our sweet girl... this will be a long long long road for her. She also tries to do too much too quick and distal splints (shorty splints) were put back on. See, she tries RUNNING to Tilly when it is chow time. Believe me when I say that she is very strong and its hard for anyone to control her when she has food on her mind.

The surgery team belives this is a ruptured extensor issue for her which they hope will heal in time on its own, with help of splints. Is surgery a potential option in the future? possibly. But time will tell.

Bottom line is both babies are trying so hard and Tilly is being a champ this entire time. If there were concerns about "quality of life" for wither of them, we would not be pursuing. But, I think about this every damn day. Its so hard. I am not used to this. I am used to foals being born that maybe need a couple weeks to unfold and they are able to turn out just fine. Not the case here, and, it makes me extremely sad - but its the life and spitfire attitude that these two have that continue to give me hope.

Unfortunately I am slowly closing in on my time I am able to keep them at UGA. If it were not for the incoming medical boarder we picked up, I would have had to bring them home already. But even so, this medical boarder is not covering the daily rate for the twins.

Reasons why I cant bring them home now:
1: I will still need to separate them from Tilly until they have strong legs
2: I feel its not ideal to have a new horse around them with their wee fragile immune systems
3: Having a new horse in the barn around babies would likely upset Tilly
4: Its alot for Rea and I to manage with babies and a medical boarder.

We are so thankful for everyone at UGA and all of you who have shared and donated to keep these littles going. I am attaching the GFM link to see if anyone wold help to furher contribute to their care. The shares, the likes, the comments... it all helps. Please keep the positive vibes for the twins going.

Rea and I had planned to keep the pregnancy with Tilly a secret. Except Tilly had her own secret. A much bigger secret.

Tilly had been transferred to UGA two weeks ago to be foaled out as there had been concern about her foaling. What a surprise it was for everyone when two little bundles popped out.

Tilly had been checked multiple times throughout her pregnancy for various reasons and to ensure she was doing well. Unfortunately, the twins were missed. I get it, veterinary medicine is always surprising us. There is a 1 in 10,000 chance of having live born twins and here we are with them.

There is a c**t and a filly, both small in size but both with s***k and zest for life. They do need more support than what I am able to offer them at the moment and UGA is the best place for them. Truly a miracle!! The twins will be receiving some splints to help with their contracted tendons - obviously there wasn't a whole lotta room for them to spread those legs considering the circumstances. Aside from the tendons, both foals are doing quite well. I have always said the Blue Valentine and Joe Hancock lines exude in self preservation and these two little sprouts are proving that.

I am pleading and begging the community to help us with getting these miracles the best chance at survival. They truly beat the odds by just making it out alive! I have included a link to the Gofundme I have created - because lets be honest, this is alot for a single mom. I will also include my Venmo. Donations can also be made directly to UGA at 706-542-3223.

We have spent so much time and hours caring for and treating others pets and horses and now we are asking to help us out. Please follow and share for the twins.

And there we have it!!! Our medical boarder who defied the odds showing up and showing out at his first show!!!

DUNITFORTHESMARTCHIC just made an impression on everyone at his debut show.

The way this horse has a special place in our heart ❤️

Miracle horse! DUNITFORTHESMARTCHIC aka “Cody” had a huge setback last year with an eye surgery to save his vision (it worked!) and he’s been in training now for only about 4 months. I took him to the Florida Reining Classic show to get him out and just give him a chance to lope through a pattern. Well not only did he lope quietly through the pattern, but he nailed his lead changes, spins, stops, and looked so focused and determined throughout the ride. This horse is going to be amazing. He has so much heart and talent and wants to please. I am so proud of this little fella. Good boy Cody ❤️

Thank you Ranch One Eleven Equine Medical Boarding and Quarter Horses for helping save Cody’s eye and setting him up for a successful future!!

Look who made it to their first competition!!! Cody, aka DUNITFORTHESMARTCHIC, showed up and showed out at the Florida Classic!!

Not only did Cody have several months of set backs in his training, but he overcome a major surgery. Likely the youngest horse competing and likely the only one who had such a medical setback. This horse is a total BAD A S S.

Ranch One Eleven is over the moon excited for Cody and so blessed to watch and be a part of his journey. Gayle Bart Shafer Shafer Equestrian Company Christi Baldree CB Performance Horses, LLC - thank you for allowing us to continue loving and following this amazing young c**t.
