Hi All! It has been too long since any new posts have been made (more on that at the end), but wanted to bring you up to speed on some changes that have been made:)

We are all about finding new ways to improve quality, reduce wait times, and provide a better experience..... In fact- those are our primary goals!

1) Continually provide ever better quality,
2) Reduce wait times, and
3) Give our customers and guests a better experience.

That being said, let's look at some pictures and descriptions of changes made.

1st picture is bacon from the same case, prepared two different ways. Now we pre-cook our bacon and then let it warm up & crisp on the griddle. Prior way was to cook it in one of the deep fryers, as needed per each order. This change preserves the true flavor of the bacon, without contaminating the fryer oil.....this is also a time saver, which shortens the wait time between ordering and receipt of food.

2nd picture is of our chicken wings, prepared in a new way..... if you look close, you can actually see the crispyness on the outside & the juiciness on the inside. All of our wings are now prepared this way, several of our dine-in customers have given rave reviews, including gems like "these are the best wings I have ever had". The wait time.on wings is now less than half what it once was.

3rd picture is a side by side picture of bags of chicken fingers...... we always struggled with the inconsistent size of our chicken fingers - there would be tiny ones, many crumbs, etc, etc, and to compensate- sometimes we would put in extras of the small fingers to make a complete order. We have switched to the fingers on the left, which are larger, more consistent, and equally tasty. They do cost a little more, but the extra cost is worth the value and consistency.

We greatly appreciate the compliments we've recieved on all of these changes, and rest assured- we will find new ways to raise the bar and continue working to exceed your expectations.

Now, for the reason we haven't posted lately......like many of you, our house sustained hail damage from the March storm. Beth and I worked like crazy over the past 10 days to redo our siding on our home..... that was a major undertaking, and very time consuming..... But, we're done, and hopeful the siding will be beautiful for years to come!

Happy Summer Everyone!!

56. Thats how many signed the Declaration Of Independence...... 56, spread across 13 different colonies, in the days before airplanes, trains, automobiles.

They pledged thier lives, thier fortunes, & their honor; all against overwhelming odds. Signing the declaration was seen as treason by the British.

Some of them lost thier own life, or their wife, thier children, thier health, and/or all wealth & property they managed to accumulate...

Signing wasn't a rash decision, rather- they spent decades before trying to 'fix' what was wrong, and request/negotiate a non-violent solution with the Crown.

But- when all other avenues were exhausted, they knew violence and war was the only chance to break from colonial rule. They put absolutely everything on the line to achieve thier goal of freedom..... not just for themselves, but for all the generations that would come after them. For us, and for our children, and the future generations that we'll never even know personally. (AKA Posterity). The 56 signors from 250 years ago - wanted a place where American citizens could enjoy thier God given freedoms, for endless generations after them. And, I think many of them had the foresight to know that if it could work here- our model would spread across the globe.

Freedom is never free. And it must be constantly renewed, earned, and fought for again, generation after generation, sometimes against overwhelming odds.

Violence and war should always be a last resort, but all too often war is used under the guise of fighting for freedom, even tho in reality most wars are fought for the benefit of corrupt governments & central bankers.... who really dont care at all about the young soldiers sent to fight....I'm pretty sure that if we look at the past 80 years- we've been at war continuously, and hardly any of these wars would have been deemed worthy by the original 56 signors.

Rather- they would see that governments & central banks have used war to accumulate more wealth and power at the expense of the common man & woman..... these past 80 years have seen endless wars & combat deaths; ever increasing inflation & currency debasement; and gradual chipping away of personal freedoms.

However- this 80+ year period of endless war and currency debasement hasn't killed America, nor the ideals she represents. Rather- it has created a new resolve for the US to extricate itself from war fought solely to benefit governments & central banks; to restore personal freedoms; and to eliminate the ability of our own government & central bank (the federal reserve) to use all of us as tax and debt slaves.....

In short, we are witnessing the very beginning of a paradigm shift.
1) Government will again work as the servant of the people governed, instead of it's overlord.
2) The central bank (the federal reserve) will revert to sound money, and cease inflationary practices that enrich them at the expense of all of us.
3) Through achieving 1 and 2- the personal freedoms envisioned and fought for by the original 56 signors will be restored.
4) As others across the world see this unfold- America will again be the country they admire, cherish, & emulate as they overcome thier own oppressive governments and central banks.

Peace, prosperity, and freedom can all be ours... and our children's, grandchildren's, etc, etc. 56 people signed the blueprint for this 250 years ago today.

Happy Birthday America!!!

We are closed today and will reopen Tuesday.

EXCITING NEWS!

But first, a reminder that TubTown will be closed this Friday & Saturday so our wonderful staff can enjoy the 250th Independence Day weekend without having to work.

Short version:
We've improved upon our already locally famous wings, and we are rolling them out for our dine-in customers starting today. This change makes the outside more CRISPY, the inside more JUICY, and cuts the prep time significantly. Today is 'Wednesday Wing Day'; Dine in wings are only 75cents/wing, small upcharge for premium sauces. Cold 2$ beers available too!

Long Version:
Exactly two years ago today, Beth & I went for a vacation up to Portland Maine & Bar Harbor/Acadia national park, & stopped at a steakhouse for dinner..... we asked for a quick appetizer, and the server suggested wings...... we looked at each other skeptically, as we were always told wings take about 20 minutes in the fryer. So we (mostly me) waited with a mix of skepticism, curiosity, and hunger.

We didn't wait for long......the wings arrived...and it was love at first bite. Crispy....juicy.....flavorful....fast!

While I try to avoid work on vacation, I had to know the secret to these wonderful & fast chicken wings. And the server was kind enough to share it. And now we are implementing it for our dine in customers, starting today.

Also- (unrelated to this post), we went out for lobster one night, because- hey, we were in Maine......and the lobster was fresh, and that green stuff called 'tomalley' is supposed to be a delicacy & part of the experience, but it was not something either of us want to experience ever again.

🍕 🍕 🍕 We want to take a moment to sincerely thank our incredible community for all the support during the past couple of weeks. We recently said goodbye to some talented longtime kitchen team members and welcomed several new faces to the kitchen.

Last week was our first full week with the new crew. Even while we paused some dinner items and our Friday fish fry to help the team get settled in, we were blown away to see sales still climb 3%! That’s a true testament to how loyal and understanding our customers are.

We’ve already made some changes behind the scenes — like reworking the kitchen layout for better flow and tweaking how we cook our bacon. We’ve got more improvements coming, including experimenting with par-cooked wings to get your food out faster.

The entire crew, (kitchen staff, servers, delivery, & dishwashers) are getting along great with each other.

We’re committed to getting even better every day by maintaining & improving the quality and hospitality you’ve come to expect from us.

If you haven’t stopped in lately, we’d love to see you soon. Come say hi, grab a pizza, and let us know how we’re doing!

Thank you again for riding through the transition with us — it means more than you know. ❤️

Patio is open!! Come dine outside, on our large patio. Ashley or Kim can set you up with co****le boards (no charge to play!), cold 2$ beers, and some amazing food from our kitchen!

So, this is also pretty cool..... "Route 62 Tint" was here yesterday & put a dark tint on the big windows & doors facing the highway... it's already made a huge difference to the dining room temperatures in the afternoon/evening when the sun is shining. So..... much..... more.... comfortable!!!

Just a reminder, as our new kitchen staff is settling in- we have paused the dinner menu and Friday Fish Frys. Please enjoy the other menu items for dine in, takeout, and delivery!

Hey Tubtown family and friends! đź‘‹
We wanted to give you a quick update from the kitchen and let you know how much we appreciate you all.

Like many small businesses, we’ve had some recent staff transitions in the kitchen. After 2+ years of dedicated service, three of our longtime kitchen team members moved on to new opportunities. We’re truly grateful for their hard work and wish them the best!

During this transition period, we’re a bit thinner on the line than usual while we bring on and train some fantastic new talent. To make sure we continue delivering the high-quality food and great service you expect from us — without rushing or compromising — we’re temporarily trimming the dinner section of our menu(stuffed shells/beef on weck/roast beef dinner/etc)& pausing our Friday Fish Fry.

This isn’t because we can’t “make it work” — we absolutely can — but because we’d rather do fewer things really well than risk longer wait times or anything less than the standards we’ve built our reputation on. We’re also using this time to rearrange the kitchen, simplify some processes, and set up the new team for even better consistency and faster ticket times moving forward.

We’re already seeing great energy from the new crew and our amazing front-of-house team. This is a short-term adjustment that will help us come back stronger, with an even more harmonious and efficient operation.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and continued support — it means everything in a small town like ours. Come see us for lunch or dinner, grab some amazing pizza, wings, or salads/subs, or swing by for a cold one on the patio.... Yes, the patio will be opening for this weekend!

We can’t wait to welcome you & have you enjoy the beautiful scenery out back!

As always, we’re grateful to be part of this community and can’t do any of this without you.

Today is Wednesday Wing Day! 75cent dine in wings (and 2$ beers!) OR 1.00 takeout wings.
Small upcharge for specialty sauces.

Good Morning Friends!

We are implementing some minor changes to our ordering process, to save time and make the ordering process a little more efficient. Please note the following:

1) When ordering fries or any menu item that comes with 'fries', we'll assume you want fresh cut fries, unless you tell us otherwise..... yes, crispy coated fries remain an option, you just have to tell us when ordering.

2) When ordering the following salads (house, side, julienne, cheeseburger, chicken finger, & taco) we'll include italian dressing, unless you tell us you want a different dressing.

3) When ordering tacos and taco salads- we'll prepare it with beef, unless you select a different protien (chicken, chicken finger, steak).

4) All hoagies & steak supreme pizzas will be prepared with mild banana peppers, unless you request hot cherry peppers or no peppers.

5) All stinger subs/pizzas will have mild sauce on the fingers, unless you choose a different sauce.

6) All burgers will be made with our seasoned 1/2lb patties, but you can have the smaller 1/4lb pattie upon request.

7)Stromboli automatically comes with pepperoni, but you can request sausage, ham, or bacon and we'll make it your way.

8)Ravioli will be cheese, beef is available upon request.

9)Broiled and beer battered fish will be Haddock, however- Cod is available on request.... they are both tasty!.

10)All fish dinners & shrimp baskets will come with fresh cut fries, but home made potato salad or crispy coated fries are available on request.

We've found that taking orders on the phone can take up to several minutes for each order, due to the number of options available on our menu items....... these options will remain available, however- you just have to let us know when ordering...... it is my belief & expectation that the time saved on order taking (as a result of these changes) will translate into our phone lines being less tied up during our busiest times AND will also free up time to better take care of our dine-in, take-out, delivery customers, and our dining room.

Thank you for your assistance and support of this minor but profound change!!
