Hello Silverados,
This email is being sent to everyone who signed up for our August outing.
If we have a couple of new members joining us, we'd like to extend a warm
Silverado welcome!

Our August event will be on Monday, August 17, at the National Museum of
World War II Aviation.
775 Aviation Way, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916.
Our tour begins at 11:00 a.m. and lasts approximately two hours.

Because we have a large group, the cost is $20 per person, which includes
$15.00 admission and the $5.00 guided tour. They gave us a slight discount.
Please bring $20 with each of you.

After the tour, we will be having lunch at the Airplane Restaurant, just down the
street from the museum at approximately 1:15 pm.
1665 NewPort Rd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80916.

If you have changed your mind and are no longer able to attend, please reply
to this email address as soon as you can so I can notify the museum.

We may also have a couple of new people joining us that just moved into our neighborhood,
please help us give them a warm Silverados welcome!

Hi Silverados! Thank you so much for coming to our barbecue last night. What a wonderful evening we had together. It was so nice to see everyone enjoying good food, great conversation, lots of laughter, and, most importantly, each other's company.

A special thank you to everyone who brought food and helped make the evening such a success. It is gatherings like these that make the Silverados such a special group.

Here are some pictures I took. It seems like I never take enough.

Dear Silverados,

Summer is here, and it's time for one of our favorite traditions.

Please join us for our annual Silverados Summer Barbecue on:

When: Saturday, July 11
Time: 5:00 pm
Where: Banning Lewis Ranch house - outside hopefully!

Our plan is to enjoy the evening outside, just as we have in years
past. If the air quality isn't good, or the fires are still causing problems,
we'll simply move the fun indoors to the kitchen.

Please let me know if you are able to join us and what you'd like
to bring. Here are a few ideas:

*Salads (potato, pasta, green or fruit)
*Baked beans
*Corn on the Cob
*Chips with Dip
* Veggie tray or fruit tray
*Desserts (cookies, brownies,pies, or cakes)
*Soft drinks, lemonade, or iced tea.

Silverado committee is bringing:
hamburgers, hot dogs and buns
All paper products
Water
Mustard, mayonnaise and cheese.
Lettuce and tomatoes.

Please RSVP by this Wednesday!
July 8.
I need to know how many hot dogs and hamburgers to buy. If
you don't RSVP some people might not get any.Emoji

Dear Silverado Members,

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather.

Unfortunately, we will not be having a social event in June. As some of you my know,
I recently had a brief hospital stay and am still getting back to my normal routine.
In addition, several of our committee members are traveling and enjoying well-deserved
vacations this month, including me.

Rather than trying to put something together with so many people away,
we have decided to take a short break and focus on planning a fun
event for July. We look forward to getting everyone together soon
and will send details as soon as plans are finalized.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Silverados.
Enjoy the rest of June, stay safe, and have a wonderful start to summer!
