One of the best things I packed for our cabin weekend? This little Melissa & Doug Paint with Water book. 🎨 Mila settled in at the table, and it kept the kids busy for so long while we enjoyed a slow morning.

If you need an easy activity for a trip or a rainy day, the book is linked in my bio! 🤎

Kids weren’t feeling 100% this morning- and honestly, I’m surprised it took this long into the school year for it to happen! Those Grüns vitamins must be doing some good 😆
It was a dreary cool morning so it was perfect for snuggles by the fireplace 🥰

One day I’ll drink my coffee while it’s still hot, and no one will call “Mama” from the next room.

But right now, I get little stories while I’m making breakfast. Small hands reaching for mine. Two kids who assume there’s room for them wherever I am.

There is. There always will be. 🤎

She waits all day for pickup. Then she spots her Bubba, reaches for his hand, and the two of them walk away together. I hope he knows how much she loves him.

I don’t think we talk enough about praying
for our husbands.

Not just praying that God would change the things that
frustrate us. 😆
But genuinely covering the man we married in prayer.

Because he carries things I don’t always see.
Decisions. Responsibility. Providing. Fatherhood. The
future of our family. His own fears and struggles that
he may never put into words.

And if God has entrusted this man with the
responsibility of being a husband and father, then I
want to be the woman faithfully praying behind him.

Lord, protect his mind when the enemy whispers lies.
Give him wisdom when he doesn’t know what to do.
Strengthen him when he’s tired. Keep his heart tender
toward You. Help him love our children well and lead
our home with humility, courage, and integrity.

And when the weight gets heavy, remind him that he
was never meant to carry it without You.

I can’t fight every battle for my husband.

But I can pray for the man who fights so hard for us.
🤎

And I’m not even a little bit sorry. 🤍

They’re coming to lunch. They’re coming on the errands. They’re probably coming when we meet for coffee. There’s a good chance someone will interrupt our conversation 14 times and need a snack before we’ve even ordered. 😂

This season won’t last forever.

One day they’ll have their own plans, their own friends, their own places to be—and I know I’ll miss the days when wherever Mama went, they wanted to go too.

So yes, I’m the friend who always has her kids.
They’re not interrupting my life. They’re part of it. 🤎

Watching him become their dad has been one of the sweetest parts of our life together. 🤍

He doesn’t just love our kids. He genuinely loves being their dad—bringing them along, teaching them, making memories with them, and making sure they know they’re loved.

I thank God for the father He gave them. 🤍
