Definitely moving towards spring, the males are becoming aggressive. Duck chasing going on all over the place. LOL Happy Saturday!

4 of my crew went missing early yesterday. The male & female Rouens and my crested Cayuga, and a male Mallard. I was sitting in the sun drinking my morning coffee this morning and they came prancing out of the woods to the pond. :) Brats.

On this chilly but sunny Saturday morning in April. We have our 1st duck egg of the season laid. :)

I mowed the grass yesterday around the pond. It looked like it was snowing feathers hehehe!

Went to the 4-H fair tonight, Grabbed a jug that someone had set along the wall, went to the water spigot and watered all the ducks and chickens in the Poultry barn tonight. Got some funny looks from people, but I don't care. Those birds need fresh cool water when it's 100 degrees in the barn.

Meanie has been sitting on eggs this past week. She came off tonight to stretch her legs and get a quick bite. I counted 17 eggs in the nest. One was broken. I took out 6 eggs that had yolk on them. There is no way I need 17 little ducklings running around. Does anyone want a few chicks in a month or so?
