N.J. has taken an important step forward by starting a new job at War Mouth. With determination and persistence, he created a resume, completed his job search, and secured this opportunity. He also worked to set up transportation support so he can get to and from work.

N.J. shares that he enjoys the welcoming staff and the food at War Mouth.

We are proud of his commitment and excited to see him thrive in this new role.

We are also grateful to War Mouth, a longtime supporter of Transitions, for opening their doors and continuing to be a partner in helping our clients succeed.

Freedom the Met will be open Sunday @11 am with Soup, Blankets, and Coats to give out to those in need! You can always expect a Word from the Lord. Blessings

Cold weather is expected again this weekend in Columbia.

Transitions will extend Day Center operations to ensure guests are not discharged into unsafe conditions.

During last week’s cold weather response, more than 100 additional guests received meals and overnight shelter. Similar conditions are expected again this weekend.

Those who wish to help can support extended operations through financial contributions, which help offset the cost of meals, staffing, and essential supplies.

This is more than a meal—it’s hope for our city, led by Freedom of the Met! 💜

Sister Eva’s Fish Fry for Freedom is Freedom of the Met’s beloved annual tradition, shining the spotlight on a ministry devoted to serving our unhoused neighbors and the most unseen in our community, all under the faithful leadership of Pastors Ron & Tam Waters. Their compassion, faith, and commitment to uplifting our city have inspired this cherished gathering. It happens this Sunday, August 24th, 11am–2pm!

Three Generations 321 Foundation is truly humbled and HONORED to partner with and uplift Freedom of the Met for this event. The Feed The Need Initiative was created specifically to honor, highlight and give back to the ministry I belong to—my pastors, Pastors Ron & Tam Waters of Freedom of the Met—and the dedicated work done through this church. Freedom of the Met leads and owns this event; we are here in SUPPORT, hand-in-hand and heart-to-heart, contributing towards the mission of breaking the chains of poverty and abuse. Our hearts are especially grateful for the faith and dedication Pastors Ron & Tam pour into Columbia's most vulnerable residents. We believe real change starts by reaching out to those too often overlooked.

We especially need donations: men’s clothing, women’s clothing, new underwear, sanitary and personal grooming products, and cleaning supplies. If you can give, you are part of the solution—helping those who are most often forgotten.

Thank you for helping us build a caring community and for honoring the true champions at Freedom of the Met. If you were confused about the date, our apologies—this event has always been planned for Sunday!

Our most vulnerable neighbors are at serious risk:
