Showing off some of what goes on in a day of a college student and young farmer on a weekend home.

Came home from school late today and refilled the pastured pigs big feeder. Plugging away getting my new to me (50 year old) planter ready to put my beans in when we dry up again. And since we got a much needed rain I was able to get both parts of my college fund together for a picture. Hard to believe I’ve had the 3688 four years and the 1086 three now. The pigs are especially excited about the rain and had no complaints about the mud.

Merry Christmas! We hope your day is marked with joy and celebration as we celebrate the birth of Jesus on earth. 1 John 1:1-5: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God. Earlier this week, our founder and lead crew chief, Bryson Dudgeon, headed south to begin a new chapter in his secondary education. After a successful first year at Columbus State Community College, he will now finish his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, majoring in Agricultural Economics with a Pre-Law track.
Long weekends and breaks will still include 3 hour trips home to complete hay season, fall harvest and begin preparing for the next growing season, which will include an expansion of row crop acreage!
