Over the weekend I checked out A Complete Unknown a movie based on Bob Dylan. Being a huge music fan of all genres was interested in seeing the movie. Was not that familiar with Dylan. However very intrigued. This was another fantastic film. Definitely! Oscar worthy. Timothee Chalamet was phenomenal as Bob Dylan. He played and sang Dylan's music throughout the movie. Which as a true music fan made it more enjoyable. Even though I am not a folk music fan. I can appreciate the genre. Great period flick focusing on the 60's a very traumatic decade. Loved the times and how Dylan evolved as a musician. His music shaped a generation.

Happy New Year everyone! So I checked out Nosferatu this morning. To me it was fantastic. Now!!!!! It is a really slow mover...Really nothing new story wise if you have seen seen Francis Ford Coppola 's 1992 Bram Stoker 's Dracula. However, Robert Egger's vision The cinematography was amazing. Visually spectacular! It was dark, gothic and euphoric. Set in the early 1800s. The time frame setting was excellent. With an all star cast with excellent performances...I really enjoyed this movie. Not much of a horror fan. However, it had elements of horror with the sensuality of the Dracula movies. . Definitely worth checking out!

Just checked Red One. If you need a holiday pickup, this was a good flick and quite entertaining. I enjoyed it .Great cast, funny lines and action. Good message for the holiday season. The Rock and and Chris Evans worked well together. Jk Simmons as Santa was really good. Also liked Lisa Lucy Lu's character.

Saw Gladiator 2 yesterday. It was good. Not great like the Gladiator. So don't go in expecting a masterpiece. I liked the feel of the movie. I enjoyed the Fighting scenes including the arena. A lot of CGI, which is not my favorite. The story was jumbled and a lot of loose ends and chaotic and rushed. I felt Ridley tried to squeeze a lot into the movie time. Denzel definitely had fun making this movie. Big fan of Pedro. He was good. However Cyn, and I left a bit bewildered.

Fan of M Night. This was eh! Dad takes teenage daughter to a concert. Taylor Swiftish. The FBI has a hunch a recent serial killer by The name "The Butcher" is attending. They try to nab him at the show. The rest unfolds. Cool fact M Night's daughter is the actual artist performing. Wait for this one.

Longlegs... Trying wrap my head around it. Deeply disturbing. NOT FOR EVERYONE !..Two movie goers walked out. Elements of Silence of The Lambs, The Amityville Horror, and The Omen. Brilliant performances by the lead actress. Blair Underwood, and Nicolas Cage was brilliant..

The Monkey Man. Was okay. Jordan Peele directed. An Indian John Wick with touches of the Raid (Which by the way is a phenomenally fantastic action movie that came out years ago. If you have not seen the Raid or the Raid II, please watch!) Love the focus on the Indian culture, folklore and some political aspects. Beautifully shot. It is a slow-moving action movie..Most action towards the end.

Godzilla x King Kong the New Empire. The latest saga of this monster series. Was pretty good. Focused a lot Kong's world. But hey it's Kong and Godzilla flick. A lot of beat downs. Good action. Overwhelming CGI with most movies nowadays. This is what you get. Always a fan of the series. Check it out!

Sorry, I'm late on a couple of reviews. The Secret Society of Magical Negroes was very interesting. I thought I was deep and entertaining. A movie about making white people feel comfortable so no harm is done to black people. Very interesting premise. Situations in the movie I have encountered in my life. If you have time, please watch. Again, another movie that may not be for everyone. But a topic of conversation for black and white America.
