The Best of Richmond Virginia!

is seriously a hidden gem for foodies 😋 the neighborhoods are so charming and there are little restaurants, cafes, and bars sprinkled all over the place!

📍 is THE SPOT for a trendy modern meal that’s perfectly executed, plus their drinks are absolutely elite! Seriously a top tier spot.
📍 makes delicious breakfast biscuit and croissant sandwiches, plus the vibes are awesome
📍 has a line out the door for fresh pastries every morning and now I see why
📍 is a small neighborhood spot that seems like everyone wants to be at. Had some great drinks and broccolini 👌
📍 is the cutest historic hotel in the heart of downtown 💙

best morning combo ☕️🌱

Coffee + plants w/ my mom — literally best morning everrr!! Finally got to check out at the in New Albany and we savored every SINGLE last drop of what we got. 😋

- salted honey latte: ⭐️our favorite!!
- smores latte: this flavo never misses
- caramelized banana latte: caramel anything and I’m there

Idk what kind of magic they put in that whipped cream on top but it’s incredible!!

Uhmmmmmm YES!!!

i made the viral blanket dumplings with my own lil spin on it and oh baby 😮‍💨 they were good
These suckers are viral for a reason!!

try this version:
1 lb pork
3 bunches green onions (~1.5 cups sliced)
2 tbsp garlic paste
1 tosp ginger paste
1 top soy sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp pepper

Optional (but essential👀) toppings: chili oil ( ), mayo ( ), toasted sesame seeds, chives

mix the meat mixture up, and then assemble it as you see in the video **add 2 tsp water to the pan before you cook em**! Cover and cook on the stove until they look done ~5 mins (you can look up pork internal temp if you so desire)

I’m a sucker for small plates

If there was a “one bite of everything on the menu” sampler platter at every restaurant - I would get that 10/10 times.. but since no one does that, I’ll settle for tapas 😂 and in Naples Fl is making some reallllly impressive ones, plus they’re serving up delicious cocktails to drink along side em.

Joe and I checked it out with his dad yesterday and damn, we were some happy campers.

Since we couldn’t reasonably order the full menu, here’s what settled on:
🔸bread and good butter: goat butter and guava crumpets - why don’t we eat crumpets here in America like the Brit’s do?? These were 🔥🔥 and I need to see them on more menus here 👀
🔸chicken liver pate: I tolerate absolutely zero hate on liver pate - its delicious!!😤
🔸carrot pierogi: SO flavorful and unique
🔸lamb kabobs: yummy!
🔸hamachi collar: (not pictured) genuinely never had anything like this - basically blackened, ultra tender fish 🤷‍♀️ delish!
🔸Za’atar chicken: HUGE portion and really tasty!

I genuinely loved every single thing we tried , there were no misses!

This week’s bites!

my kitchen is absolutely covered in grease but the homemade crab rangoons were worth it 😮‍💨

King oyster mushrooms sautéed in butter pair superbly with some soft scrambled eggs and cheese

It’s finally smoothie season which I’m all about

payed a surprise visit to for steak quesadillas- love that they served a whole roast jalapeño with it too!

lunch time bird watching 👀

in Dayton has been on my mind since last Saturday and I don’t think it is going anywhere. 😅 Gosh it was so delicious!!

The interior design is sooo cute + they have miniature bird figurines everywhere that make for a fun lil bird watching activity while you eat 😂

The food and cocktails blew my expectations out of the water!! I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re going to Dayton.

Here’s what we had:
- smash burger: a must
- Breakfast burrito: another must
- solo traveler (cocktail): totally delish
- chopped salad: didn’t taste this one but it looked good!

Didn’t know what I was signing up for…

when I ordered the raviolo at , so I was quite surprised when a plate was set down before me bearing a single ravioli big enough to feed a small village 😳

and it turned out to be my favorite thing we tried!! 🤤 cheesy, egg yolky, slightly sweet from the aged balsamic drizzle, and perfectly al dente.

We also tried the:
🔸rosemary + Parmesan focaccia
🔸house made meatball
🔸tagliatelle alla bolognese
🔸lamb lasagna

and enjoyed every last bite of it all!!

Their seasonal menu is constantly changing so there is always something new to try!

Grist is seriously a Dayton gem!! 🤩
