Last week, I felt incredibly proud to present at the Conference on Elder Abuse at UC Law alongside two fellow Latina attorneys, my amazing colleague Mijal and a long time friend and fellow bad ass By using our voices, expertise, culture and lived experiences, we get to advocate for vulnerable communities and assist them with their legal needs.

Representation matters. Visibility matters. And every time a Latina takes a seat at the table, we make room for more of us to follow.

We are not just participating in these spaces — we are leading in them. 💫

Mothers Day Weekend recap for Coach Cecy:

“We blossom because of mom.” I saw this quote on a billboard this weekend and it resonated so much with me. It’s so true and I was happy to have spent this weekend with my hubby, twins 👯‍♀️and dad.

I enjoyed spending time with my husband, daughters and dad. On Friday, my dad taught my husband how to make flour tortillas. On Saturday, we avoided Mother’s Day crowds and had Italian for dinner at our favorite restaurant in North Beach. Sunday we went to mass, visited my mom’s resting site and had tacos for dinner. All these things were unplanned but done with intention.
