Please allow us to share something a little different from our usual restaurant posts today. 😊🍄🌲

We wanted to share this fun experience with you because maybe some of our customers love adventure, hiking, and exploring nature as much as we do. Who knows? Maybe next time we can go on an adventure together! 😄

And here is the reward after all the hiking, searching, and digging — fresh matsutake mushrooms that we found ourselves! 🍄❤️

After spending almost 24 hours in the forest, I can definitely say it was worth it. We brought them home, cooked them, and they were absolutely delicious!

A little adventure, a lot of memories, and a very delicious ending. 🌲🍄🥰

Today, I want to share a little story about how I spent my day off. 🍄🌲

It’s matsutake season right now, also known as American pine mushroom season, here in Northern California. To find them, we had to travel north, go up to around 4,000 feet in elevation, and hike through the forest searching and digging for these special mushrooms.

It definitely wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it. I spent almost 24 hours in the forest with no internet, just enjoying nature and taking a break from everything.

And after all that searching, I finally found the mushrooms I had been looking for! That feeling made all the hiking and hard work worth it. And of course, the best part was getting to cook and eat them afterward. They were absolutely delicious! 🍄❤️

Sometimes the best days off are the ones spent completely disconnected from the world and surrounded by nature.
