It's time for the Carefree Jamboree coming Monday October 14th at Origins Cafe. Join Empire Natural Foods for a fun and educational hands-on workshop to learn about natural fermentation, gut-health and the rich history of kimchi, the world-renowned, traditional dish of Korea that has been central to their culture for thousands of years.

Participants will learn to make kimchi by joining together as a 'Village' for the annual Kimjang Festival, the traditional kimchi making day in fall where communities across Korea gather to prepare huge batches of fresh, healthy kimchi to be fermented and eaten for sustenance during the winter months ahead.

At the conclusion of the workshop each participant will pack their own jar of kimchi to take home, let ferment, and enjoy!

$20 per person - each participant takes home one quart of kimchi ($20 value)

Empire Salsa Verde is now offered in two flavors, Spicy and Medium, each with its own distinct flavor profile. For the medium salsa verde we roast the tomatillos, poblanos and jalapeno peppers together for a deeper, more complex flavor, while our spicy salsa verde blends fresh tomatillos and serrano peppers for a more tangy and hotter taste.
