In 1906 “The Jungle” authored by Upton Sinclair exposed not only labor but food safety issues in the Chicago Meat Packing and Stockyards industries. For the last 120 years, modern US Agriculture has evolved to keep Food Safety Standards a priority above all else. Meat inspection, live animal inspection, nutritional value and wholesomeness will continue to be the foremost concern for US Farmers and Ranchers. We look forward to reducing the hands and economies involved between pasture and plate but we are dedicated to food quality, stewardship and wholesomeness!

I’m very proud of the livestock I raise and the improvements I have made in terms of range improvement and ranch infrastructure. Especially considering the crazy economic atmosphere we live in and the last several years of unfavorable moisture levels. I’m far from finished and plan on continuing until the day I die.

In 1916, the New Mexico State Fair found its “permanent” location in Albuquerque, NM where it still stands today! They purchased that tract of land for a whopping $12,000!
