Our corn planting for 2026 is complete! Time to clean up the planter and watch the corn grow🌽

In the fall, we'll harvest the corn and store it as silage, which will be added to our cows' diet throughout the year🐄

🔆Last week, students from West Genesee Central School District visited the farm. This week, we got a surprise in the mail — a collage of pictures from their time here and hand-written thank you notes😊

What an awesome group of kids and teachers to meet, all because of the Discover Dairy Adopt a Cow program🐮

Spring field work has begun🚜

Manure stored throughout the winter is now being applied to the fields, returning nutrients to the soil. Our objective is to keep our soils healthy while protecting water quality. Some practices we follow:

🌿Keep a vegetative buffer between the field edge and the water body

💩Incorporate manure into soil

🌳Maintain proper setbacks between application and field edges
