Check out the great selections below which include prairie natives like hairy mountain mint, spotted beebalm, sideoats grama, annual flowers like cosmos and zinnias, and veggies likee zucchini, cukes, tomatoes and kale.

Best news is you can shop all your farm store needs (meat, cheese, eggs, honey, veg) AND plants at the same time. Get your groceries, stock ya garden and ya prairie.

I don't know about you but feeding my people these days is pricey!! It's pretty awesome when you can get affordable, accessible local food and both of these farms are all about that.

Here is a (maybe) fun post!! Many, many years ago I was a baby farmer (with my own baby Catalpa in tow) at Heartland Organics before co-starting Big Muddy Urban Farm in Omaha and then going on to farm in Southwest Iowa.

At that time we grew seedlings using organic practices for Earl May. Years later my love and relationship with the Loess Hills prairie + prairie ecosystem inspired me to hand collect seed and grow out native plants. My love for harvesting plants for medicine took me down a path to grow medicinal plants. Every year I learn more and more about our plant-kin. I am so grateful whenever I hear your stories about lemon balm, columbine, big bluestem, tomatoes, yarrow, prairie sage, beebalm etc. etc living and thriving at your home.

Keep planting, you never know what may happen. 🌿✨

The 🌱🌿P L A N T S A L E 🌱🌿opening is this weekend! Here is the updated plant list. Hope to see ya and check out Long Walk Farm's event page for more information. There will be brunchy foods, plants, and farm store goods. We will also be open Sunday if you can't come out Saturday. Come get these plant bbs especially the native plants because I want everyone to grow a lil prairie.

This year I am collaborating with Long Walk Farm where I moved my greenhouse (with their incredible help) + we will host plant sales each weekend until we sell out. There will be a variety of veg, herbs, flowers and my favorite PRAIRIE plants.
