Almost every morning we walk to for breakfast. Cafe Con Leche ☕️ Zumo de Naranja (Fresh Squeezed OJ)🍊 and Tostada Tomate (toasted baguette with tomato and olive oil)🥖🍅 The owner is amazing, he’s so kind to us every day and even cuts our toast into hearts ❤️ When he’s closed on Sundays we don’t know what to do with ourselves ☺️

It’s our 2nd of 4 weeks of classes at in Granada. We have already learned so much, though we freeze up with complete confusion on the daily 🤣 Everyone has been very kind in helping us to communicate 🥰

Malaga Part 3… We were lucky to witness a special procession for María Santísima de la Trinidad Coronada (Our Lady of the Crowned Trinity) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her coronation. The statue of the Virgin left the San Pablo church at 4:30 pm, arrived at the Málaga Cathedral at 9:00 pm, and then began its return trip (with an estimated return time of 3:30am… which is 12 hours of carrying this float when you consider the 1 hour time change). It takes 180 men to carry each float! Amazing!

We hopped on a train to Malaga for a quick overnight adventure. First stops were the Museo del Videojuego (Museum of Video Games), Alcazar, Roman Theatre and Gambas pil-pil (spicy garlic shrimp served sizzling hot) for lunch 🔥

There is a block party on our street today celebrating the Realejo neighborhood. Local vendors, music, dancing and chess! This game between Max and a worthy opponent lasted almost an hour. 3 hand-rolled ci******es and 1 coffee-and-cola concoction for the opponent, and a win for Max ❤️♟️💃

The produce market near our apartment in Granada has the most wonderful variety of goodies, especially the champiñón (mushroom 🍄) selection! Muy delicioso!

We ventured to the outskirts of Granda to IKEA for some kitchen supplies. IKEA is just as great in Spain as it is everywhere else, plus the unique carts 🛒🤣 Shopping was a success and we were able to cook our first meal in the apartment with produce we purchased from the local fruit and vegetable shop! 🍅🧄🧅🍝
