Got the sweetest surprise this morning. Our broody hen Coco hatched 6 babies overnight. The bigger chick in the picture is one that she hatched 8-weeks ago and still cares for.

Dani ran in the house yelling “Coco has babies.”

The last photo is the proud dead-beat dad 🤣

They are Aracauna/Rustic Rock mixes. (Unless one of our other roosters managed to get her.

We had the best surprise this afternoon! Coco has been broody for a while now, but we hadn’t been letting her keep her eggs. She must have hid some, because she came out with this little one today! I’m so excited for this baby. She (or he) is an Rumpless Araucana/Rustic Rock mix.

We went to get our Cottage License today! Should have the farmstand with farm fresh eggs, yummy baked goods and pickles by mid-summer!! We can’t wait!
