Our story starts in 1998 when we bought the first eight acres of what would become our little regenerative farm. In 2002, we bought the attaching 13 acres and the land sat untouched until Rob retired from the military in 2017. We first began feeding deer and wildlife until we realized this beautiful piece of property with its rolling hills and large pond would make an amazing free-range organic fa
rm. We started by fencing the outside perimeter and checking soil samples. Most of the land was red dirt with heavy forest and underbrush, I mean the hands and knees kind of underbrush. We realized we were about to throw an insane amount of heavy equipment with diesel fuel cost at a situation that was only going to fix the vegetation problem, and most like degrade the soil situation, so we dared to be different. We chose to start with pigs, goats, chickens, guineas, and dogs, but we chose to do it with high quality Non-GMO/Organic feed which gives our animals some of the very best nutrition on the market all while improving the soil quality on the land at the same time. Within three years the animals completely trimmed, manicured, and lifted all the vegetation on the farm all while changing the soil from red dirt to an organic rich black soil. The pigs and goats have now completed their sought-after tasks, so we should be moving to sheep and cattle in the near future, and with the help of a brand new tractor from Kubota, we think it will be sooner than later. Please continue to follow us as we build our little unique regenerative farm...
