One thing we really care about here on our farm is using EVERY part of what we grow. 🌿

These onion blossoms from our organic garden are currently soaking in white wine vinegar and turning the prettiest shade of pink/purple. The flavor is going to be SO good β€” light onion flavor with a fresh floral finish. Perfect for vinaigrettes, marinades, pasta salads, dipping oils, and honestly just making food feel a little extra special.

This is exactly the kind of stuff we love creating. Old fashioned preservation methods mixed with newer techniques like freeze drying. Real ingredients, small batches, and finding ways to use what the garden gives us instead of letting it go to waste.

We’re really trying to focus on unique, high-end culinary flavors for the farm stand while still keeping everything simple, honest, and homemade. 🀍

Cannot WAIT to have the trailer stocked full of all these fun little specialty items once it’s finished.

Fresh from the garden and headed straight to the freeze dryer. 🌿✨

Our organic green onions are officially being harvested, sliced, and preserved to lock in that fresh garden flavor for months to come. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes creating products that are simple, real, versatile, and packed with flavor β€” perfect for cooking, soups, dips, seasonings, camping meals, and everyday kitchen use. πŸ§„πŸ₯£

Every batch is grown with care right here on our little farm and processed in small batches to keep quality front and center. No herbicides, no chemicals, no preservatives!

We are SO excited to start stocking these goodies once our vintage trailer farm stand renovation is complete. 🀍 The vision is slowly coming to life and we cannot wait to share it all with you.

Community supporting community. 🀍🌿

This Mother’s Day, we were incredibly honored to donate fresh organic chicken & duck eggs from our farm to Pazzo for their beautiful Mother’s Day brunch.

Pazzo’s is truly one of those special places that pours love into every detail β€” amazing farm-to-table food, support for local farms, and a genuine passion for uplifting local artists and makers in our community. From the gorgeous locally made gifts to the incredible brunch spread, it was such a beautiful reminder of why supporting small and local matters so much.

We just wanted to say thank you to Pazzo’s for always championing local businesses and creating such an amazing space for our community. And to all the moms out there β€” we hope your day was filled with love, good food, and people who appreciate all that you do. 🀍

Being able to share a small part of our farm with our community is something we never take for granted.

This little blue trailer has a story πŸ’š

Years ago, my dad bought this horse trailer brand new for my mom β€” her very first trailer. It was one of nicest models of its time! It spent its life hauling my sister and my horses to 4h, OHSET, shows, etc, with a wide array of different animals in its repertoire. It’s long since been retired and instead of sitting idle, it’s about to start a whole new chapter as our future mobile/self-serve farm stand πŸ“πŸŒΏ

My husband and I are doing the transformation ourselves. Thankfully it doesn’t need a full restoration, just some modifications to fit our farm stand vision, a little creativity, a lot of elbow grease, and some serious spiffying up ✨

We’re planning:
🌱 A self-serve setup
🚜 A mobile market trailer
πŸͺ΅ Warm rustic farm-style finishes
πŸ₯š Shelves stocked with our farm products
❀️ A space built completely with love

Honestly, the sentimental value behind this trailer makes this project even more special to us. We can’t wait to bring new life into something that already holds so many memories.

Stay tuned because we’ll be documenting the entire transformation process and sharing the journey on TikTok & Instagram πŸ‘€

This is going to be a fun one.

Something exciting is growing here at Fluster Cluck Farm. πŸ€ŽπŸŒΏπŸ“

We’ve been quietly working behind the scenes on some BIG upgrades β€” including transforming our vintage horse trailer into a fully self-serve mobile farm stand!

Not only will it be stocked here at the farm during the week, but we’ll also be taking it on the road to local events, pop-ups, and farmers markets around Oregon. 🚜✨

Our goal has always been simple:
Real Ingredients β€’ Handcrafted β€’ Made with Love

A few things you can expect to see:
β€’ Fresh organic chicken & duck eggs
β€’ Small-batch jams & preserves
β€’ Freeze-dried goodies
β€’ Homemade syrups
β€’ Canned goods
β€’ Seasonal produce from the garden
β€’ Fresh flower bouquets
β€’ And a few special family recipes we can’t wait to share πŸ‘€

Anything grown or sourced directly from our farm is organic, and we are committed to keeping everything as raw, simple, and wholesome as possible β€” no unnecessary junk, just quality ingredients made with love.

This little dream of ours is finally starting to come to life, and we are so excited to bring more local, handmade products to our community. Thank you for supporting small farms, small business, and the people working hard behind them. 🀍

πŸ“πŸ’‘ More Light = More Eggs? Not So Fast…

We get asked a lot about adding lights to the coop to keep eggs coming through the darker months. While it can boost production, there are some important tradeoffs that don’t always get talked about πŸ‘‡

Extending daylight artificially pushes hens to lay moreβ€”but it also pushes their bodies beyond their natural rhythm.

Here’s what that can mean for your flock:

β€’ ⚠️ Burnout happens faster – more eggs now can mean fewer later
β€’ πŸ” Shorter laying lifespan – hens don’t get the natural rest they need
β€’ πŸͺΆ Disrupted molting – which is essential for recovery and feather health
β€’ 😬 More stress & behavior issues – including pecking and poor sleep
β€’ πŸ₯š Egg quality can drop – thinner shells, lower quality eggs
β€’ 🌾 Higher feed demand – their bodies need more to keep up

At the end of the day, chickens were designed to slow down in winterβ€”and sometimes letting them follow that natural cycle is the best thing for their long-term health.

That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you supplement light or not, it comes down to how you want to balance production vs. animal wellbeing.

We’ll always lean toward doing what keeps our birds healthy, strong, and productive for the long haul. πŸ’ͺπŸ“

Pro Tip: Fresh eggs can store up to 3 months in the refrigerator along with other traditional storage methods to keep you through the winter!

Here at Fluster Cluck Farm, you won't find better eggs from happier hens who have 15 acres to roam free. They’re given treats, interactive toys and love daily. Our girls get to retire here and live out the rest of their long lives even when they stop producing.

We are looking for regular customers to add to our list as we are producing anywhere from 4-6 dozen eggs per day.

We are also offering $8 per dozen duck eggs.

Willing to deliver 3 dozenn eggs minimum, within reason in the city of Creswell or pick-up Monday - Friday on Seavey Loop in Eugene.

What should you do with your bantam or small eggs you don’t sell? Make pickled eggs of course!

I absolutely love these fresh and organic pickled eggs. This batch I use apple cider vinegar which makes them a little darker but still pretty! These are vacuumed sealed and stored in the refrigerator as there is no such thing as β€œtruly” shelf stable eggs. I did lots of research and even called our local extension office to make sure.
