Woodclyf Pygmy Goats

It’s been a sad day at Woodclyf. We lost Woodclyf Mac this morning. He was our platinum wether and was 2nd runner up at the 2018 convention. He’s been in great shape until a month ago he started losing weight. He was a very special boy and we will miss him a lot.

We went to the MoCo Pygmy goat show this weekend. Thank you Holly and JoAnna for a wonderful show. You do such a great job. Our babies were the stars again they were just One day into the 6 to 9 month class. They started the weekend screaming and by the 2nd show Uther was 2nd in the 6-12 whether class and his sister Sophia was reserve jr champion. We are so excited about this group of babies this year. For those wondering those names come from the show Merlin. Uther was King Arther’s father. We had plans to change his name but it stuck.

The babies were the stars this weekend they were top 3 both days in pretty big classes. Not bad for not having leads on before this week.

We had a great show at our National Convention. Every goat we brought placed in their class. Both days we had 3 does in the senior doe line up. Sunday Woodclyf Quest was reserve grand champion. We actually took bucks to show!! Woodclyf Rye won his class and was reserve Grand. P&B Farms Purdue Pete made his debut was 4th the first show and 2nd on Sunday. We want to thank Bill and Sandy Pratt and Jude Beaver for trusting us with Petey I know he is very special to you. He is very special to us. Thanks Jude for showing our boys and helping us when needed.

Woodclyf Wednesday the first time out after kidding took reserve Grand doe the first day and Grand doe the 2nd. I have always loved this doe. She is one when people walk in the barn they notice. I was bad this is the only picture I took of her.

We had an unbelievable weekend. Woodclyf Quest was sr and gr champion on Saturday and reserve grand Sunday Woodclyf Amoretto was reserve Sr and reserve Grand Saturday. Woodclyf Skylark was Sr and Grand Champion Sunday. She was reserve grand once as a junior then took all last year off after having triplet boys. We’re thinking we just need to take the rest of the year off.
