This morning I sat the chickens down for a very important family meeting and showed them pictures of their new home because IT’S COMING TODAY. 😂🐓🏡

And before anyone says chickens don’t understand pictures… I’m telling you right now, they understood me.

The head tilts.
The staring.
The little side-eyes.
The sudden excitement.

They KNOW. 😂

I’m pretty sure they were thinking, “So you’re telling us we finally get to move out of these temporary accommodations and into the fancy house you’ve been talking about for weeks?”

YES, GIRLS. TODAY IS MOVING DAY. 😂🤎

After all the planning, measuring, changing things, waiting, stressing, and talking about this coop like it’s a second mortgage… their Wild Moon Acres dream home is finally coming home today. 🥹🐓

I cannot wait to see them explore it for the first time.

And yes, I will absolutely be giving them the full house tour like they personally paid for it. 😂

Our tiniest project manager came to inspect the new coop today 😂🤎

Seeing her standing inside it made me realize just how BIG this thing really is.

We’ve been dreaming, planning, changing things, measuring everything twice and slowly watching this space turn into the home our girls deserve. And now we are getting SO close.

There is still a lot to finish inside, but I already know this is going to be one of my favorite places on Wild Moon Acres.

Raelynn seems to approve. 🐓🌿🤎

I cannot believe this is actually OUR coop 😭🤎
Seeing it come together piece by piece is making it feel so real. We have talked about this, planned it, changed things a hundred times, and now it is finally happening.
And the girls have absolutely no idea how spoiled they are about to be 😂🐓
This is still only the beginning. I cannot wait to decorate it, finish the inside, get everything predator safe, and finally move everyone into their new home.
Wait until you see the finished version. 🤎🌿

Our coop is officially coming to life and we are getting so excited 🤎

Seeing the real build photos makes it all feel so much more real. This dream coop for Wild Moon Acres is being built right now and we cannot wait to get her home this Friday.

We are so thankful for all the hard work going into this build and so excited to start the next part once it gets here. Then comes setup, predator proofing, all the pretty details, and getting it ready for our girls.

Thank you so much to Caleb at Quality Built Structures for giving us a little peek at the progress and for building something so special for our flock.

A little piece of Misfit Homestead is growing right here at Wild Moon Acres! 🥚🐣🤎

A huge thank-you to Tammy for sending us these beautiful hatching eggs. We’re so excited to candle them, watch their progress, and hopefully welcome some fluffy new babies soon!

Now the hardest part begins… waiting. 😂
