MeadowMist Nigerians

Here are some of our personal highlights from the Bucktober Festival show. Grandaughter Hadley who is rapidly becoming the brains of our operation had to sit out another show due to her recent surgery. We sure hope to see her back in action for our 2027 show season. It was super special for her to get to stand with her special IVF doeling MeadowMist JD Legacy in the championship lineup under judge Yvonne Blosser. Legacy was a hard fought 1st place in the intermediate class which had 20 entries. Hadley’s Junior doe Two Dog’s Farm RC Skipjack was also in the lineup as the second place junior yearling.

Another budding young star is our recently acquired junior doeling Ponto Ranch HR Mon Tresor. “Treasure” is a late June kid but she was not to be outshined by many of her older counterparts, placing well in both rings.

Wait a minute- I can’t forget to thank our wonderful photographer/barn builder/go-fer Quentin… he does it all!!

The Bucktober Festival show is in the books and it was such an enjoyable event. The competition was great along with lots of camaraderie. Our good friend Ines Schmidt from Critters Haven Farm came to help and to show some doelings. It was great to see familiar faces as well as some new ones!

One highlight of the Bucktober show for us yesterday was for Winning Streak CM MarkofCarbon to receive a classification of 90.7 Ex which we will be having made official. Mark will humbly concede the victory of the day to the beautiful Agape’s Prize buck owned by Swisher Hill but the classification was both helpful and exciting. We thank Erica Hopkins as well as Tim Flickinger for providing this service at the show.

A little disappointing but Harmony came back into heat so we won’t be having any Garçon babies. On the other hand, MeadowMist JD Gentleman Jack got to strut his stuff for the first time. This will be a loose line breeding to Wood Bridge Farm Invigorated +*B. Gentleman Jack is sired by Wolfivan Jack Daniel’s and out of MeadowMist DP Lil’ Legend.

Keeping up with a website is such a time consuming task but I have finally completed the 2027 breeding schedule. I do hope to update the junior buck pictures within the next couple weeks. Here is the link to the schedule, if you click on a pairing it will open the planned pedigree. There is no deposit required for reservations. MeadowMist Nigerians is located in Daleville, IN.

This is a repeat of our 2026 breeding that produced 3 stunning individuals. Chocolate or red cheek are possibilities. Gemini is an excellent producer who is hard to dry off; she loves being milked and produces well over 5 lb per day at peak.

Introducing Ponto Ranch HR Mon Tresor

MeadowMist NB Petit Garçon is heading north to Old Iron Farm in the land of the Green Bay Packers. Having been raised in Michigan, there is a long standing rivalry between Lion’s fans and Packer’s cheesehead fans so I couldn’t resist giving him a cheesy send off. We hope that he will sire many excellent kids who also inherit his gentle soul.

I especially enjoy making fall themed photos. This is Oaklyn’s little doeling MeadowMist TT Homey Badger

Sold
MeadowMist NB Petit Garçon DOB 6/2/23,
CM N/N by virtue of his parents.
This is a tough one to part with. We have retained 3 of his daughters, the first to freshen will be next year. I just cannot justify keeping 6 bucks, our downsizing has been terribly difficult.
We are located in Daleville, IN
