Being busy in HR isn’t the problem. It never has been.
But sometimes.....being seen as impactful is. 🫠

Still reflecting on my time with Lubbock SHRM yesterday.

I am so grateful for the engagement, the honesty, and the willingness to lean into the challenge.

We talked about making the shift from activity → impact, and here’s the takeaways you shared that resonated the most:

👉 Take the emotion out of your message so you can lead with clarity and impact
👉 Deeply understand business priorities before proposing solutions
👉 Focus on outcomes, not just volume of work
👉 Step into the role of organizational architect; it may uncomfortable, or even a bit scary.... but critical as AI reshapes how work gets done (whether that’s now, a year from now, or three… it WILL reshape it....will HR be ready?)

The challenge I left with the group:

➡️ Make one small shift this week…

➡️ And identify one outcome you can meaningfully impact over the next 12 months.

Not more work. 🤯 Gosh no!

Just more intentional connection to results. 📈

Eid al-Adha | June 6–8 There are several Eids in the Muslim calendar, and it can be confusing if you’re not familiar. We’re not experts, but we do know this:

Acknowledging someone’s holiday matters. 💕

🕌 Eid al-Adha is one of the most meaningful celebrations for Muslims around the world. Wishing someone Eid Mubarak is the equivalent of saying Merry Christmas 🎄….a simple gesture that can make someone feel seen and valued.

Don’t be surprised if you say “Eid Mubarak” to a colleague, and they light up with surprise and joy. When we acknowledge holidays that are not our own, it’s a reminder of how much these small moments of recognition really matter.💕

💛 Cultural awareness is knowing it’s happening.

💛 Curiosity is asking, “Do you have special plans to celebrate?”

💝 Belonging grows when we choose to notice and care.

✨To everyone observing this weekend.…..”Eid Mubarak!”… may your days be filled with peace, joy, and connection. ✨

, we’ve been hearing from many leaders that their teams are feeling unsettled with so much change happening 🌎.

So while leadership is about leading initiatives, driving OKRs, and making sound decisions—

It’s also about showing up when it matters most.

Right now, change is happening all around us.
➡️ Some are feeling hopeful.
➡️ Others are anxious. 
➡️ Many are just trying to process what it all means.

No matter where your team members are on this journey, one thing is certain, change is distracting. And in times of uncertainty, your team is looking to you.

This is the time to lean in.

💬 Communicate more than ever. - Even if you don’t have all the answers, being present and open makes a difference.

💡 Reaffirm your values. - If inclusion matters in your organization, now’s the time to demonstrate it. Or if transparency is a core value, lean into clear, honest communication. Reaffirming your values, whatever they may be, will clarify what remains important and relevant to your organization, regardless of outside “swirl”.

🤝 Be a steady presence. - Change can feel unsettling, but your consistency can create calm and focus.

Leaders, we don’t have to have all the answers. But we do have a responsibility to lead with kindness, clarity, and courage.
