Road trip! 🚙

When the supplies needed for an order created this road trip, I had no idea I was in for such a treat! Apparently there are Deer 🦌 a short distance Northwest of us. I saw Longhorn cattle, donkeys, horses, and goats too.🐐

I know this may be a regular day for some, but it was a treat for this city girl.

A little sun and it's alright. ☀️

After a stormy night, it's nice to see the rays. Turn up the volume just a tad for a relaxing minute. I took the video to show my mom the turtle and thought you all might like a little zen. ⛲ I know I do.

Don't mind my garden, it needs some attention and I haven't been up for it. 🫣☺️

Simple Carrot Cake. 🥕

The last cake to round out May was this simply frosted one with pecans & cream cheese frosting. A sweet customer ordered it for her hubby a day early since I was unavailable the first of June.

Did you know my cakes are baked fresh to order and I've made this same recipe since high school?! That has certainly stood the test of time. 🤣 Back then a restaurant had me make them every week, but always without frosting. They added raspberries, whipped cream, and a mint sprig and it sold like hotcakes!

Whether you like simple frosting, no frosting, or let me do my thing, it's nice to have choices. I found in Texas, folks like all kinds of additions to the batter. 🤷

Grab these before they melt away. 🤣

Have you guys seen the viral trending Dot Cakes? I usually don't follow trendy items, but these keep popping up and here they are.

My version today is a 4" Carrot Pecan Cake with Cream Cheese frosting and nonparelles (sugar dots). I've got just two that are over an 8 oz portion for $8 each.

I also have a few Vanilla Almond Sugar Cookies with white Almond Buttercream and sanding sugar for a festive and simply sweet treat. These are about 3 inch cookies in assorted colors 4 for $12.

I have a limited window for pick up, so please let me know if you'd like to claim these ASAP. Coppell pick up by appointment only. Thank you and enjoy your Sunday!

I posted these Sample Boxes to VIPs this morning and now have just 2 left for purchase.

(4) Snickerdoodle Cookies
(3) Lemon Cream Cheese Cookies 🍋
(2) Strawberry Cake Bites. 🍓 These triangles are a sweet treat with strawberry jam and strawberry frosting, topped with a berry slice.

Coppell pick up in 15 minute time slots due to temperature sensitive cake bites. Who wants one for $15.50? Also a few extra cookies may be available for a larger box or for a box with just cookies give me a shout.

I also wanted to thank you guys for the sweet messages yesterday. All is well today. 😁

Crazy Day at Missy's!

I'm sorry if I'm a little behind on responses.

My two boys had me on the edge of my seat today. The pilot was flying a dual engine at over 20K feet and over 200 mph between thunderstorms. 🫣Meanwhile my youngest had 🦷surgery today. 🐾

All went well for both and Jasper's still out like a light. It was a wild ride with these two today, and I promise to get all responses out by morning. 😳

It was a play on words for an Alice in Wonderland themed Shower, where the beverages had "drink me" tags. I love the creativity in that!

Thanks for the guesses, you guys were so close in guessing the theme of the cake! I went with a runway on his requested flavor of Chocolate with Vanilla Buttercream. My son dug into the cake too fast so I didn't get to set the runway lights in place in the grass, but that's alright. 🤣

I also learned that the airport he flies into is only using runway #21 right now due to construction. 🚧 He's definitely in the right place. 🥳

I've got a few extras available for purchase today only, a perfect way to try before placing a large order.

-Triple layer Lemon Cake made with fresh lemon zest 🍋 with a seedless raspberry smear and lemon buttercream. The generous slice is topped with fresh raspberries. That's a 5 inch cake card for reference on size.
-Coconut Cake Bites are a single layer made with coconut milk frosted with coconut buttercream and finished with poured fondant. That's a standard cupcake liner for reference on size.

A couple of you got it right- so congrats!

The heart shaped cake was for a Bridal Shower! I've had the "something blue before I do" theme previously, so that may have been it! 🩵 The couple will be celebrating their wedding ceremony out of state later this year and I wish them all the best. ✨

The rest of the orders were for cupcakes and the extras flew out the door.
