What a weekend! 🎉
📍 Saturday: Pegasus Plaza with Dfw Shopz Market Est 2019. Met so many new faces and shared a taste of Georgia with downtown Dallas.
🚗 Sunday: Loaded up and drove to Houston for a delivery because when y’all want Georgia Sweets, I’ll bring it to you. 😅
🎭 Sunday night: Capped it off sharing tea with the amazing Travis Pratt and Dr. Bruce V. Ayers, Jr. after their incredible performance at Moody Performance Hall. Moments like this remind me why I do this: meeting new friends, creating new experiences, sharing my passion.
Market to highway to the opera: Georgia Sweets goes wherever the love is. 🖤

Prepping for Saturday. Who’s coming by the booth for some REAL Southern sweet teas and lemonades?!?!

📝 5 things I learned at my first vendor market:
1️⃣ Tent weights are non-negotiable. At least 40 lbs. The wind is unpredictable, and a toppled tent can damage or ruin your product. Just get the weights… trust me!
2️⃣ Be on time for setup. You don’t want to feel rushed trying to get ready before the market even opens. Give yourself the time.
3️⃣ Sh*t happens. Be flexible. Whether you forget something at home or the wind takes your tent. Stay calm, pivot, and keep going.
4️⃣ Content. Content. Content. Everything is content: real customer reactions, setup, breakdown, even the bloopers. Don’t miss the moment trying to be “camera ready.”
5️⃣ Meet the other vendors. Grow your community. They are seriously some of the most awesome, supportive people you’ll meet.
First market in the books, and already smarter for the next one. 🍑🍋 See y’all at DFW Shopz on the 15th!
