How I make my overnight oats!
1 cup oats
1 cup water
1TB honey
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 TB yogurt
1 TB chia seeds
(Measurements are approx! If you want more/less sweet, add more/less water)

So easy to make and such a fast breakfast. Helps start your morning with fiber too! 🤍

And one of the best parts is that you'll likely have leftover brine and you can turn it into the MOST delicious BBQ sauce (that recipe is on my blog, too!).

Homemade smoked deli meat from boneless turkey breasts!

I know not everyone has a smoker so let me know if you want to see how I’d do this in the oven. I’ve never actually done it for lunch meat, but I’m open to trying it! 🙌

Obviously you could just bake the breast whole but I think it’ll stay more moist if you do a wet brine first.

Now you’ve got some deli meat that’s ACTUALLY nitrate free for way less money.

Lemonade concentrates are so nice to have on hand for a party, or even just a hot summer day.

They’re also a great way to use up fruit that may be a little mushy (but not moldy!).

The freezer scrap bag is at max capacity which means it’s time to make some chicken broth!

I save onion, garlic (including peels), carrot and celery scraps! Throw it all in a pot with water and some seasonings - I’ll get 10+ quarts for nearly $0.

Here’s how I help keep my chickens cool during the summer heat! They usually get a frozen tray every day or every other day.

These plastic trays don’t take up too much freezer space and I like how the ice chunk will pop right out so I don’t have to leave the tray behind.
