*Some GPSs do not like the address. You can also look up the “Cowboy Church of Ellis County” if you have trouble finding it, we are next door.

⭐️Shoppers some things to know⭐️
🚨DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS, yes we love ours too, but livestock and fowl at the event do not know your dog and even if they are a well behaved pooch, they are still a predator in the eyes of these prey animals.
YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. So leave them at home.
🚨Do Not bring animals to the event unless you are a vendor. No swaps, drops, or selling under a vendor. TAHC will get after you and remove you from the property and seize your livestock.
🔥*Bring your wagons and crates, cat carriers or other critter transportation.
🔥*We will have an ATM on site.
🔥*Food trucks on site
🔥*Event is on rain or shine, we are 100% covered.
🔥*Some of the event is on sand and some is on concrete, wear sturdy shoes.

🚨RECORD who you buy livestock from, every event we have people ask who this person in a blue shirt was….you are responsible for your purchases and keeping track of said purchases. Just snap a picture of the booth, booth number, receipt or get a business card. If you need to follow up reach out to the Vendor.

We inspect animals upon entry, but we can’t catch everything, look over livestock for lice or mites, overall health, and sneezing or wheezing.
🚨QUARANTINE, separate your new flock members from your existing flock for a minimum of 30 days, and not right on the other side of the fence. Have a quarantine pen set up on the opposite side of your property.
🚨This is a family friendly event, we intend to keep it that way. This event is held on private property, even though it is open to the public, we reserve the right to have anyone removed from the event grounds with a criminal trespassing charge.
More on QUARANTINE!
For a minimum of 30 days.
This means a totally separate area to house your new flock. At least 36’+ feet from your existing flock. Not separated by chain link fence, because a host of diseases are airborne, which is why a separate housing area is needed.
There are many ways you can help yourself ensure the safety of your existing flock.
Have a pair of shoes for each coop, you can easily carry diseases on your shoes and clothing.
Some birds can look healthy and never show signs of illness, but be carriers.
Watch the new birds for signs of illness. These signs may include coughing, sneezing,eye discharge or swelling, unusual gait, discoloration of the wattles/comb, drowsiness and unusual p**p. Also keep an eye on your older birds. If one of them is showing symptoms it may indicate that you haven’t quarantined properly. If caught early there may be time to treat.
Know who you purchased birds from. When you buy any livestock make sure you have a way to contact the person you purchased from.
There are a host of remedies and treatments that can clear up a lot of commonly seen illnesses, from overly moist grounds, from rain like we got yesterday, or a sudden change in the weather, livestock can get colds just like people. Like any illness, If you know what to look for and how to treat it, it’s typically an easy fix. I’m know some of our experienced flock owners can chime in about what they use and why they use it.
We suggest all these measures in an over abundance of caution, not to scare anyone or turn anyone away, but to ensure you all have the practical knowledge and information to make an informed decision. If you have questions ask and talk to vendors, join some chicken groups, be prepared, gain knowledge and have items to treat illnesses on hand.
