Tyrant Zuhak (or Zahhak) and Shah Faredoon (or Fereydun) are two of the most famous figures in Persian mythology, locked in an epic, eternal battle of good versus evil. Their legendary clash, originally rooted in ancient Zoroastrian texts and famously chronicled in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, represents the ultimate triumph of justice over tyranny.

This chicken kabob is similar to the popular lamb/beef tenderloin barg kabob -- ours is a butterflied and tenderized breast of chicken, cut and skewered in a flat leaf form and grilled to perfection on a skewer. It is more tender, easier to eat and prettier on your dinner display than the classic Joojeh Kabob. The marinade for this kabob is amped up thanks to some updates to the classic. I call it our Joojeh Kabob 2.0!
The preparation method is simplified to make it easy for anyone, even if it's your first time preparing it. It is easy enough for a weeknight dinner and fancy enough to serve at a dinner party. watch the full video on my Youtube channel and get the recipe:

First try at crunchy Persian rice tahdeeg using only flour and water! Before you start the final steaming phase of Persian rice, instead of using flatbread, potatoes or other vegetables, simply mix 2 to 3 tablespoons of flour, 1/2 cup water, saffron water, 3 tbsp of vegetable oil and 2 tbsp softened butter with salt/pepper/turmeric (to taste) to create a paste. Spread the paste at the bottom of the pot, top with par-boiled & strained rice, then proceed with rice recipe as usual. It's quite good! It can be jazzed up with more colorful ingredients and spices! Kraft Heinz Company controlled what America ate for decades. Ketchup, cheese, packaged meals—it was everywhere. This wasn’t just a company, it was a monopoly on habit. In 2015, Kraft Foods merged with H. J. Heinz Company, backed by Warren Buffett and 3G Capital. The plan was ruthless efficiency: zero-based budgeting, aggressive cost cuts, layoffs, squeezing every dollar. Profits jumped. Stock surged. Wall Street celebrated. But customers didn’t.
While spreadsheets improved, the products didn’t. Innovation slowed. Quality slipped. Consumer tastes shifted toward fresh, organic, healthier options. Smaller brands moved faster. Kraft Heinz stayed stuck. Then came the hit—in 2019, a $15 billion write-down wiped out brand value, one of the largest in history. The stock collapsed, growth stalled, and the illusion broke.
Kraft Heinz didn’t fail because people stopped eating. It failed because it stopped listening. They optimized for margins instead of meaning, efficiency instead of experience. A century-old empire weakened in a few years. In business, cutting costs feels smart—until you cut the very reason people buy from you.
