After 6 incredible seasons, Iβve made the bittersweet decision to officially close the catering division of The BBQ Broker at the end of September.
This one is tough to write.
What started with a passion for BBQ, a lot of smoke, some long-ass days, and probably more coffee than Iβd like to admit turned into something Iβm incredibly proud of.
Over the last six seasons, Iβve had the opportunity to cook for thousands of people, cater some amazing events, meet a ton of great people, and make friendships and memories Iβll carry with me forever.
To everyone who hired us, bought our food, came to an event, shared a post, recommended us to a friend, or simply told someone, βYouβve gotta try The BBQ Brokerβ β thank you. You helped turn a passion into something pretty damn special.
I also want to thank everyone who worked alongside me and helped behind the scenes. The people who showed up on those crazy days, lent a hand, gave me advice, supported me, and believed in what I was building. I appreciate every one of you.
Running a catering business is no joke. There were early mornings, late nights, overnight cooks, missed weekends, mistakes, and a whole lot of learning. But there were also some incredible moments that made it all worth it.
Iβm proud of what we built.
And while the catering side is coming to an end, The BBQ Broker isnβt going away.
Iβll still be firing up the smokers and sharing what Iβve learned through BBQ master classes covering brisket, ribs, and more.
Iβll also be opening myself up to consulting with BBQ restaurants throughout New England, helping with cooking processes, fire management, consistency, operations, menu development, and building a successful BBQ business.
So this really isnβt goodbye. Itβs just time for the next chapter.
To everyone who supported us over these six seasons β from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Six seasons. Thousands of meals. Countless memories. One hell of a ride.
The catering chapter may be closing, but thereβs still plenty of smoke ahead. π₯
See you around the pit.
